Martin tends to get involved in things that he shouldn’t, and represents less than innocent clients; this isn’t the first time he’s gotten pulled into a client’s shady behavior and actions.
He committed forgeries with both Valentin Cassadine (James Patrick Stuart) and Drew in the past, when he was involved in getting Ronnie Bard (Erika Slezak) to sign the Quartermaine mansion and all its belongings to Drew!
He just has returned to town after punishment for that little stunt, and already he’s getting himself in deep with Drew’s deceptive and deadly maneuvers.
But Drew is just egotistical enough to think he’ll never be caught, and although he didn’t intentionally murder Jack Brennan, he did contribute to his death.

He was the one to supply the pill that Ava Jerome (Maura West) crushed and put in his bourbon, and whether it caused an overdose or he stumbled in the pool and drowned, it’s all the same end result.
Martin May Take Clients That Get Him In Trouble Because Of Financial Problems
Martin may take clients that get him in trouble because of financial problems-he pays alimony to at least four ex-wives.
So, if a client has the money, then Martin has the time, even though he’s gotten himself involved in some pretty shady situations more than once in the past.
However, he’s never gotten involved in a situation that ended in a possible murder-there is a possibility that Drew could have somehow pushed a physically compromised Brennan in the pool, where he drowned.

However, Drew was in a huge hurry to dispose of the body before anyone could connect him-or Ava-to the WSB station chief’s death-a huge red flag!
Martin Has No Idea That Brennan Is Dead-Yet!
Martin has no idea that Brennan is dead-yet! But Drew assured him that the leverage Brennan had on him would stay buried-after not finding anything in his Metro Court Suite.
It’s not like Martin didn’t warn him when he supplied that virus that Drew inserted into Carly Spencer’s (Laura Wright) computer.
But Drew assured him the operation would be seamless, and Martin wouldn’t be culpable for anything.
But then, we all know Drew’s a perfect angel and would never throw someone under the bus who helped him. And he’s got oceanfront property he’s selling in Arizona, too!
