General Hospital Spoilers: Mary Pat Means Business!

There’s a new character on the show and from what we already know, she means business! General Hospital spoilers tease that actress Patricia Bethune, who plays the new Mary Pat on the show, has a lot in store for viewers.

Mary Pat is basically Carly’s worst nightmare. She’s the nurse at the mental institution that Carly is currently in. It’s her job to make sure that Carly takes her meds and that she doesn’t try to escape, even though that’s the first thing on her mind each and every day she wakes up.

According to Patricia though, her experience on the General Hospital set has been nothing but positive so far. But at the same time, her new character has definitely been keeping her on her toes! As a matter of fact, Patricia was asked to arrive onset only a few days after she got the call that she landed a role on the show.

She told ABC Soaps in Depth in a new interview, “It was maybe four days before I started shooting. Four days to jump into 53 pages of dialogue. It was like I was walking through life on a treadmill at about three or four and someone pressed the button on nine!”

Despite the fast pace, Patricia says that she has nothing but love for the show’s producers along with the cast and crew that work behind the scenes.

Patricia added, “I’m so impressed with everyone on that show. I left my first day going, ‘Oh, my God, this is like the Olympics.”
