A new character debuted in “General Hospital” this week and its portrayer is someone who is familiar to its viewers. Mandy Musgrave joined the cast of the show as Carol Lockhart, a former Dawn of Day member. She took the fall for supplying drugs to Willow Tait’s (Katelyn MacMullen) father, Douglas Miller, causing him to overdose. In his effort to bring down DOD’s boss, Shiloh Archer (Coby Ryan McLaughlin), Michael Corinthos (Chad Duell) reached out to Carol, who was in Beecher’s Corner, for help.
His search for Carol started when Jason Morgan (Steve Burton) revealed to him that Douglas, the man who overdosed in Beecher’s Corners, was the father of Willow. Michael is sure that Shiloh is responsible for his death, something that Jason also agrees with. That’s when Jason told Michael that Shiloh let a woman, Carol, take the fall for him. However, Jason cannot be seen looking for Carol in Beecher’s Corners and that’s when Michael offered to do it himself.
Matt Cohen’s Wife Joins General Hospital Cast
She doesn’t just look familiar, but her name sounds familiar, too. That’s because Musgrave is married to one of “General Hospital’s” former cast member, Matt Cohen, who used to play Griffin Monroe between 2016 and 2019.
Talking about his exit, Cohen said, “I did three years at the show. It was a great time and I had great fun playing the character, but I’m a guy who gets uncomfortable when he gets comfortable. I need to give Griffin a little rest right now. There’s always the chance I’ll come back. I have a real family over there with the actors and especially the crew that keeps that show afloat.” He was last seen in the soap on March 22.

General Hospital – Mandy Musgrave Also Appeared On Another Soap Opera
Meanwhile, this is not Musgrave’s first foray into the soap industry. She was a former cast member of “Days of Our Lives,” where she portrayed the character Chelsea Benson between 2004 and 2005. She has also appeared in other TV shows including “The King of Queens,” “CSI: Crime Scene Investigation,” “South of Nowhere,” “Eli Stone,” “The Middle,” and “90210.” In 2007, she won the Favorite Mobile Dramatic Artist in the 1ST Annual Wave Awards, Academy of Wireless Arts, Video, and Entertainment for her role in “South of Nowhere.”
It looks like we’re in for a great episode on Wednesday! As always, more detailed Spoilers and Breaking news will appear here on Celebrating The Soaps!

I did not recognize her but SHE is a lucky young woman. Matt is gorgeous!
No I did not but she will be a nice addition to a summer storyline with the handsome actor’s Steve and Chad and finally take down Scummy Shilo once and for all.
