Despite the two signing divorce papers, Sonny still tries to reconnect with the woman he loves. Sonny’s attempts continue to be unsuccessful. Benard spoke about the storyline and said Sonny can’t fix this on his own.

GH Spoilers – Bedding Nina Reeves

When Carly didn’t show up on the Haunted Star on time, Sonny should have sent Nina away. Instead, he took Nina to bed. Just like a soap, that would be the moment when Carly finally showed up. As much as Carly loves Sonny, seeing her husband in bed with Nina was too much for her to take.

General Hospital Spoilers – Maurice Benard On Storyline

General Hospital spoilers reveal that Benard has opened up about the storyline to Soap Opera Digest. The actor explained that Sonny can’t fix this situation on his own. Sonny has a lot of complicated feelings about Nina. Until he resolves those feelings, then there is no getting back together with Carly.

“Yeah, he can’t fix this on his own. It’s like I’ve always said: ‘You’ve just got to go talk to someone about it and figure it out.’ But that’s not where we’re at in the story right now.”

Notice how Benard said, “not where we’re at in the story right now?” That seems to indicate that at some point, Sonny will talk to a therapist or counselor about the situation. However, it appears that is going to happen later in the story.

GH Spoilers – Tragedy Reunites ‘CarSon’?

In soaps, couples are always breaking up and getting back together. Many times, it is some sort of tragedy or drama that brings a couple back together again. So, could Sonny and Carly get back together after a tragedy? It certainly seems possible, but what that tragedy could be and when it occurs remains unknown.
