General Hospital spoilers reveal that Sonny Corinthos (Maurice Benard) can’t seem to make things right with Carly Corinthos (Laura Wright). Despite the two signing divorce papers, Sonny still tries to reconnect with the woman he loves. Sonny’s attempts continue to be unsuccessful. Benard spoke about the storyline and said Sonny can’t fix this on his own.

GH spoilers reveal that Sonny finally remembered his identity and returned to Port Charles. Even though Sonny was furious with Nina Reeves (Cynthia Watros) for her deluded deception, the feelings are complicated.
Sonny should have been honest with Carly about everything from the moment he came back from Nixon Falls. Instead, he kept the truth hidden and it ended up being exposed in the worst way possible.

When Carly didn’t show up on the Haunted Star on time, Sonny should have sent Nina away. Instead, he took Nina to bed. Just like a soap, that would be the moment when Carly finally showed up. As much as Carly loves Sonny, seeing her husband in bed with Nina was too much for her to take.
General Hospital Spoilers – Maurice Benard On Storyline
General Hospital spoilers reveal that Benard has opened up about the storyline to Soap Opera Digest. The actor explained that Sonny can’t fix this situation on his own. Sonny has a lot of complicated feelings about Nina. Until he resolves those feelings, then there is no getting back together with Carly.
“Yeah, he can’t fix this on his own. It’s like I’ve always said: ‘You’ve just got to go talk to someone about it and figure it out.’ But that’s not where we’re at in the story right now.”
Notice how Benard said, “not where we’re at in the story right now?” That seems to indicate that at some point, Sonny will talk to a therapist or counselor about the situation. However, it appears that is going to happen later in the story.

GH Spoilers – Tragedy Reunites ‘CarSon’?
In soaps, couples are always breaking up and getting back together. Many times, it is some sort of tragedy or drama that brings a couple back together again. So, could Sonny and Carly get back together after a tragedy? It certainly seems possible, but what that tragedy could be and when it occurs remains unknown.

I want Sonny and Carly back together. Nina will never be the right women for a mob boss. In fact where has that man been?
I hope Carly is finally done with him. I love them together but without Jason Sonny is a train wreck and will NOT have control of his “coffee business – side hustle” w/o Jason.
IF he did t sleep with Nina and also keep turning to her (and Carly finds out) I could see them rekindling but now not so much. He betrayed her, their marriage and their family.

I hope this is the end for Carly and Sonny. I love to two together but Sonny did the unthinkable in sleeping with nina. The woman who lied for almost a year keep him away from his loved ones. I hope Carly is donde with Sonny, but I v do not want to see him end up with nina.
When he FINALLY gets some mental counceling Carly will know he wasn't right in his mind. That may take some of the sting out of sleeping with the family tormenter.
GH has had a lot of bad storylines lately but the Sonny/Nina is the reason I quit watching. Sonny is a pathetic wimpy coward that hurts his family especially his children. The storyline has destroyed everything Sonny stood for. If Maurice wanted a change he should have retired instead of destroying the Sonny we know and love.
Feel your statements have merit, but do believe that int he long run (however long) writers take this story, Carly/Sonny will find their way back to one another. Unless both personas change, it has been proven that they are the best for one another and no one else as they truly understand one another in ways others couldn't regardless of their dysfunctions.
Knowing Carly, it will still be all about how she was hurt, etc. Both need professional help to get over this situation before anything can be resolved between the two. But, this is GH after all, and who knows what will actually bring the two together again until it occurs.
The Sonny you speak of hasn't been resurrected quite yet. He is equal to all of the GH long and departed characters who seemingly are lost to viewers (although he is still seen), until resurrection in time for another story line.
