Or specifically, it was watching Maxie Spinelli share Christmas together. Fans have been eager to see this duo pair up again, but it seems like GH has let the embers that were glowing at Christmas turn to ash. Rumor has it the ever-romantic Spinelli has big plans in store for Maxie during this Christmas in July.

Fans of Maxie and Spinelli were really pulling for a do-over when we learned over Christmas that Spinelli is still in love with Maxie. But in true Spinelli fashion, he hasn’t found the perfect time to tell her.
Ellie Trout (Emily Wilson), Spin’s ex-girlfriend, tried to convince him not to waste time putting his feelings on display, but here we are six months later with no forward movement. We’ve barely seen Spinelli; we’ve barely seen Maxi; and we definitely haven’t seen them together. What gives, GH?

Sam McCall (Kelly Monaco) and Ellie might be clued into Spin’s feelings for the Maxonista, but Maxie herself remains in the dark. When she hints around to Brook Lynn Quartermaine (Amanda Setton) that she has feelings for someone but won’t say who, BLQ might get the idea that it could be Austin that Maxie is still harboring feelings for. Let’s hope Maxie squashes any concerns of that quickly!

A reunion between Maxie and Spinelli would’ve been great last Christmas, but we hardly want to wait until December of this year to see it happen. Some fans think Spinelli is going to pull out all the stops to recreate his Christmas memory with Maxie and Georgie Spinelli (Lily Fisher) this Christmas in July as a way of letting Maxie know he’s been pining for her the whole time. Are we finally going to get the fa la la la love affair we’ve been jonesing for between these two? Maxie deserves some happiness already! Get to it, Spinelli!
