General Hospital spoilers and updates suggest that Maxie Jones (Kirsten Storms) may turn down Nathan West (Ryan Paevey) due to negative feelings. Will Maxie’s awakening from her coma lead to a complete meltdown?
Maxie Jones Will Appear Starting February 12, She’ll Wake Up From Her Coma
Maxie’s return to GH is finally approaching, as she is set to appear on-screen starting February 12; presumably, she will wake up from her coma.
Once she awakens, Maxie will discover that she has been in a coma for several months, and her loved ones will fill her in on what she’s missed. Fortunately, she hasn’t been absent for years like Lulu Spencer (Alexa Havins Bruening), but she will still have a lot to learn.
The biggest shock will be Nathan coming back to life! Maxie might immediately claim that this isn’t possible and think it must be some kind of illusion.
Maxie Will Be Shocked At A Living Nathan, Complete With DNA And Fingerprint Match
Nonetheless, there is DNA evidence and a fingerprint match supporting Nathan’s assertions, so Maxie will receive updates on everything; still, Maxie might sense something off about Nathan and have her doubts.
While everyone else in Port Charles seems sure this is Nathan, Maxie may not feel the same way, even with the proof she has. When Nathan first returned alive, Felicia Scorpio (Kristina Wagner) suggested that the only person who could verify Nathan’s identity was in a coma.
No one knows Nathan better than Maxie, so it would be concerning if she doesn’t trust him right away. Many questions linger about Nathan’s absence and his connection to the final Cesar Faison (Anders Hove) project drama.
Nathan Claims Not To Remember His Missing Years, But Could Be Hiding Something
Nathan states he has no recollection of his missing years, but he might be hiding something-it’s also possible that Maxie’s rejection of Nathan is more about shielding her own heart.
On some level, Maxie may struggle to accept it’s Nathan because losing him was so painful; if she had to endure that grief again, she might find it unbearable. Maxie could push Nathan away to avoid putting herself in a situation where she could lose him again.
Regardless, Maxie might initially reject Nathan upon waking, which could cause him to rely on Lulu even more, and Nathan may be hurt as well and lean on Lulu. Maxie might push Nathan right into Lulu’s arms as a result, complicating matters as we move into the next chapter of this storyline.
