General Hospital Spoilers: Michael And Dex Are The New Jason — And Joss Isn’t Here For It

General Hospital spoilers reveal Carly Spencer (Laura Wright) has asked Michael Corinthos (Chad Duell) to step up and be the brains behind Sonny Corinthos’ (Maurice Benard) security team. Sonny might think Dex Heller (Evan Hofer) is working as his mob enforcer, but he’s been playing double duty for some time now. Initially hired by Michael to take Sonny down, when Michael reneged on his position, DEx felt trapped. Josslyn ‘Joss’ Jacks (Eden McCoy) wasn’t a fan of the idea that Dex would be working for Sonny, legitimately.

But Dex and Joss recently agreed that the best thing he can do is stay in this role, and it didn’t hurt that he told her it’s where he wants to be. Still, when Michael presented Dex with Carly’s scheme to have them working as covert handlers to protect Sonny, Joss wasn’t on board. Ultimately, she deferred to Dex to make his own decisions, but she’s not feeling this family arrangement. Fans are starting to question whether Dex will be the Jason Morgan (Steve Burton), and if he is, many are insisting Joss is no Sam McCall (Kelly Monaco).

If Joss has any questions about Dex and Michael’s new operation, she should go talk to her mother. As they say, mother knows best. But is Carly really mothering her children here — or is she mothering Sonny? When Michael came to her with the Pikeman footage, asserting that he could put Sonny away without her ever having to open her mouth, she was stunned. The last thing she ever wanted was to see her children turn on their father. But the knowledge that Michael had covertly hired Dex as a plant who infiltrated himself into Sonny’s business made. Carly realized that her ex must not be as sharp as he used to be. How was Michael able to pull this off? Sonny must be distracted; it’s clear he is slipping.

Charged with a new mission — protecting the don from himself, Dex is eager to remain on Sonny’s side. But Joss wants him out of the line of fire, and she sees his betrayal of Sonny’s trust as only increasing the risk of something bad happening. While she has already agreed to back him working for Sonny, no one can blame her for having concerns about him getting caught up in another scheme behind Sonny’s back. After all, her biggest fear this whole time has been that Sonny would find out Dex betrayed him — and he would do away with him as punishment.

Fans have been speculating whether Dex would be primed as the new Jason Morgan ever since he first stepped on the set. He’s got the looks. He’s got the charm. He’s kind of got that mysterious “you don’t know too much about me” aura about him, too. But does he really have what it takes to be Jason? On the flipside, Joss might think she’s his perfect companion, but fans are saying she’s no Sam McCall. Don’t get us wrong, we love us some Eden McCoy. But it seems like GH may be pushing a bit too hard too fast to reshape her identity. She just graduated. She just started college. She just decided to go into pre-med. Is she really ready for a world filled with spy games, shootouts, and the mob elite? When stacked side-by-side against a girl like Sam, we’re sorry to say Joss may pale in comparison.
