General Hospital spoilers claim Michael Corinthos (Chad Duell) and Willow Corinthos (Katelyn MacMullen) have survived far worse than Mikey’s recent betrayal. They were married the first time for the sake of the little boy they loved and wanted to protect from Nelle Benson Jerome (Chloe Lanier).

That divorce took a toll on both of them after they’d accidentally fallen in love, but they both knew they didn’t want their love story to start that way.

Their second marriage may have been a more blessed union, but they were also riddled with stress at the time — not knowing if Willow would survive her stage four cancer diagnosis. Now, they’re supposed to be living their version of happily ever after, but Willow is still questioning whether she can trust this man — and who he is — because he’s not the man she thought she married.

Michael was caught off guard when Willow called him asking that he come home to the gatehouse after work and stay overnight.

The first of what they both hope will be many nights to come, Michael and Willow both seem to accept that they have a long road ahead of them before things will feel normal again.

With both of them being willing to try, things will start to look up again for this couple and their little family.

That’s only going to add to the pressure when Michael realizes his other secret might come out soon — and he’ll do anything to keep it under wraps before Willow learns he once again kept something from her.

Willow needed time and space away from Michael to make sense of the way he betrayed her. It took time for her to get the clarity she needed to know that Michael’s intentions were good — even if he still hurt her in the end.

She doesn’t want Michael to protect her from the truth, but she knows he was acting in good faith and doesn’t really seek to control her relationship with her mother.

Moreover, she doesn’t want their marriage to be over, and she knows that if she were to end things, it would give credit to Nina Reeves Corinthos (Cynthia Watros) where it really shouldn’t be due.

General Hospital Spoilers — Michael Corinthos Is Making Other Moves

The problem is, Michael never told Willow the whole truth about his deal with Dex Heller (Evan Hofer) to spy on Sonny Corinthos (Maurice Benard).

Willow pushed hard for Michael to lay down his arms when he was pursuing the end of his dad’s business, and she knows he followed through with that.

What she doesn’t know is that he continued to keep Dex in his employ — on his mother’s bidding — to keep an eye on Sonny.

While this approach was all about keeping his dad safe instead of burying him or getting him thrown behind bars, his good intentions are once again wrapped up in a secret he’s kept from his wife — and it just might be the last straw for Willow.
