General Hospital Spoilers: Michael Corinthos’s Storyline Return – What Fans Should Expect

General Hospital (GH) spoilers indicate that Michael Corinthos exited soap opera storylines in a very explosive way. After suffering third-degree burns in late January, he was sent off to a recovery clinic in Germany, which was an excellent way to open a door for a return.

But how soon can fans expect to see this Michael back in Port Charles, and will Chad Duell reprise the role, or will there be a recast? Here’s what we know so far.

Michael Corinthos Will Likely Return Sometime In 2025

There were a lot of hints thrown around about a Michael return, during the Monday, February 10 episode. First off, Carly Spencer (Laura Wright) revealed that her son was taking to the treatment very well in Germany.

This seems to suggest that it’ll only be a matter of time before Michael feels better and is ready to head home.

As he picked the innovative recovery center, versus the one close to home, his chances of returning to town, sooner rather than later, are far more plausible. This was the reason behind the facility he chose.

Not to mention that during Monday’s show, Martin Grey (Michael E. Knight) had a meeting with Willow Tait-Corinthos (Katelyn MacMullen) about the child custody case, where Nina Reeves (Cynthia Watros) was present.

Martin wondered how they should proceed with the couple’s divorce petition – something Michael launched before his accident. Nina suggested that rather than strike back right away, it may be best to wait until Michael recovers.

This was likely in hopes that she could keep Willow married to Michael, and away from Drew Quartermaine (Cameron Mathison) for a little longer.

It feels as if everyone is under the impression that Michael will make a full recovery, and it won’t be too long until he’s back in Port Charles.

Recast Versus Chad Duell Return

This is the land of soaps, where anything is possible. Michael could fully recover, head home, and land into an accident on his way from Germany and exit storylines for good.

Still, it seems as if Michael will make a comeback fairly soon; perhaps just in time for May sweeps. Right now, the character is integral in storylines, and a splashing return where he swoops back in to cause chaos in both Willow and Drew’s romance seems plausible.

Not to mention how sticky things would get with Sasha Corbin (Sofia Mattsson), considering he is the father of her baby.

But will Michael return as a recast or will Duell come back? That is a scenario entirely up to the actor. As per some interviews he’s done, it seems as if Duell needed a break from work to focus on himself; however, how long of a break that would be, remains to be seen.
