General Hospital Spoilers: Michael Defends Love For Willow – Sonny Leans on Jason – Nikolas’ Response for Spencer

General Hospital: Michael Corinthos (Chad Duell), Willow Corinthos (Katelyn MacMullen)General Hospital (GH) spoilers for Thursday, July 30, tease that some exciting scenes will be revisited as we await next week’s all-new episodes. For now, GH will keep the encores going with one that first aired on May 20, 2020. General Hospital fans can expect tons of drama, so stay tuned.

At the Metro Court, Nikolas Cassadine (Marcus Coloma) tells Ava Cassadine (Maura West) about running into Franco Baldwin (Roger Howarth) at the boxing gym. When Ava hopes Franco didn’t use Nikolas as a punching bag, Nikolas wonders if there’s something – or someone – they should be fighting about.

Talk turns to the portrait unveiling and how Ava’s playing up Franco’s past. Ava insists that Franco doesn’t mind, but Nikolas argues that Elizabeth Baldwin (Rebecca Herbst) does. When the topic of Spencer Cassadine’s (Nicolas Bechtel) ultimatum comes up, Nikolas fears his son won’t want to reconnect without the Cassadine fortune.

Ava argues that Spencer wants Nikolas back in his life – money or no money. However, Nikolas contends that Ava had better guess again if she thinks she’s getting everything. At GH, Franco’s upset about Liz trying to be friends with Nikolas again. Liz does her best to make Franco understand her perspective. She sees the good in Nikolas and believes he wants to change.

General Hospital Spoilers – Complicated Feelings

Liz argues that her feelings for Nikolas are complicated and think Franco’s feelings for Ava are complicated, too. Ava arrives in time to hear Liz badmouthing her, but she brushes it off. Franco accepts his $15,000 check from Ava, who’s excited for this successful portrait unveiling and what it could do for Franco’s career.

Liz feels like it’d be better for Franco to move away from his past, but Ava thinks there’s no such thing as bad publicity. Talk turns to Nikolas and how Ava needs to try bringing the best out in her husband. Ava suggests she hasn’t seen that side of Nikolas and wonders if Liz has.

Ava hopes Elizabeth will be at the portrait-unveiling party and decides it’s time to go. She gets a dirty look from Liz, who acts standoffish toward Franco as they get on the elevator. At Laura Collins’ (Genie Francis) place, she welcomes in Lulu Spencer (Emme Rylan) and debates with her about Ava’s big bash. Laura’s going, but Lulu doesn’t agree with giving Ava the mayor’s stamp of approval.

As for Nikolas, Lulu worries that maybe her brother’s gone full-blown Cassadine, but Laura doesn’t intend to give up on him. When Nikolas shows up, Lulu’s cold toward him. Nikolas brings Laura flowers and wants some advice regarding Spencer.

GH Spoilers – Nik Cassadine Shares His Fortune

After Nik shares his fortune dilemma, Laura urges him to focus on being a good father and let the rest fall into place. Later, Nikolas decides to give Spencer a call. He tells his son that he’s got a response to the letter he received.

At Turning Woods, Sonny Corinthos (Maurice Benard) is a mess over Mike Corbin’s (Max Gail) decline. He waited too late to talk to Mike about his wishes, so now Sonny’s on his own. Jason Morgan (Steve Burton) wishes Mike had spelled out his wishes for Sonny, but he’s confident Mike would want whatever Sonny decided.

Once Jason’s gone, Sonny sits with Mike and tears up over still having a signed Mickey Mantle baseball card. Sonny recalls Mike telling him how much that’d be worth someday and asks his dad if he remembers. Meanwhile, Carly Corinthos (Laura Wright) assures Diane Miller (Carolyn Henessy) she’s ready to get grilled by Martin Gray (Michael E. Knight) in court.

Inside the courtroom, Michael Corinthos (Chad Duell) approaches as Willow Corinthos (Katelyn MacMullen) is looking at a picture of herself with Harrison Chase (Josh Swickard). When Michael mentions deleting his own photos with Sasha Gilmore (Sofia Mattsson), Willow determines that’s for the best and deletes her “Chillow” pics.

Michael pulls up a Wiley Quartermaine-Corinthos (Erik and Theo Olson) pic as a reminder of why they entered this marriage. The custody hearing may get messy, but Michael suggests a fun family outing with Wiley once the drama’s done.

Over with Martin, he listens to Nelle rehearse her testimony and urges her to make it sound more sincere. Once Julian Jerome (William deVry), Nelle tries to embrace him awkwardly. Since Julian needed a shot of liquid courage, Martin offers some mints. When Martin steps out, Nelle reminds Julian of what’s at stake and gets confirmation that losing is not an option.

Court’s back in session soon after, so Carly takes the stand. Martin asks about Carly’s time in Ferncliff and the time she shot Tony Jones before being sent to Shadybrook. He implies that Wiley won’t be safe around Carly, but Carly makes it clear that she won’t stoop to Nelle’s level.

When it’s Michael’s turn on the stand, he faces questions about his marriage – including whether he loves Willow. Although Michael admits he’s not IN love with Willow, he explains why he does love his new wife. Michael doesn’t think this is a marriage of convenience at all since they both made a sacrifice, but Wiley’s worth it.

Once Willow’s on the stand, Martin plays up the angle of her job termination. Willow was fired for disregarding the wishes of some of her students. Martin wonders what’s to stop Willow from disregarding the wishes of Wiley’s biological mother or even father. Diane offsets the damage with a glowing letter of recommendation from the principal and a great review from Willow’s new job.

Nelle’s up next, so Willow nervously takes Michael’s hand. There’s one more hot encore coming up on Friday and then new episodes are back! We’ll give you updates as other General Hospital news emerges. Stick with ABC’s GH and don’t forget to check back often for the latest General Hospital spoilers, news and updates.
