General Hospital Spoilers: Michael Goes on Trial After Willow’s Acquittal as Diane Targets His Ex-Wife

General Hospital (GH) spoilers hint that Michael Corinthos (Rory Gibson) could go on trial after Willow Cain’s (Katelyn MacMullen) acquittal. Will Diane Miller (Carolyn Hennesy) target Michael’s ex-wife when it’s time for his own defense strategy?

Everything is pointing to Willow getting a not guilty verdict and walking out of that courtroom with her head held high. Willow really is Drew Cain’s (Cameron Mathison) shooter, but she’s poised to get away with it while Michael faces major suspicion next.

There’s been no shortage of concerns about ADA Justine Turner (Nazneen Contractor) going after Michael if Willow gets off the hook. GH spoilers hint that Justine will indeed make it her mission to put Michael behind bars after this Willow angle fails.

Of course, that doesn’t necessarily mean that ADA Turner will succeed or that this GH storyline will get as far as another trial.

However, we have to at least consider the possibility that Michael could get arrested for attempted murder and face a jury in that courtroom.

It’d be interesting to go from guilty Willow getting acquitted to innocent Michael fearing he’s going to be locked up for the rest of his life.

Alexis Davis (Nancy Lee Grahn) discovered Willow actually committed the crime shortly before it was time for her closing argument. It was a complicated situation for Alexis, but she stuck with her defense of Willow and made Michael seem like the culprit instead.

Alexis did what she had to do for Scout Quartermaine’s (Cosette Abinante) sake since winning this case is the only way Drew Cain (Cameron Mathison) will let her have access to her granddaughter.

Even so, Alexis is going to feel awful once ADA Turner is targeting Michael and doing everything in her power to put him at Pentonville.

Fortunately, Michael should have Diane in his corner when it comes to any trial drama that might erupt.

Alexis ultimately focused on Michael as her main source of reasonable doubt for the jury. By playing up the idea that Michael shot Drew and framed Willow, Alexis has seemingly delivered a winning strategy.

Diane may offer a winning strategy of her own if she plays up Willow’s guilt during Michael’s potential trial. This could be when Diane shows the jury and everyone else that Willow should’ve gone down for the shooting.

The ringtone evidence could finally come into play along with Kai Taylor (Jens Austin Astrup) and Trina Robinson’s (Tabyana Ali) confessions on the witness stand.

Diane might offer up other proof as well and make it clear that Willow got away with nearly killing Drew, so stay tuned for updates on any shocking courtroom news ahead.
