General Hospital Spoilers: Michael Holds Sonny At Gunpoint, Wants Revenge – Ava’s Baby Kidnapped

ABC General Hospital spoilers and updates for Wednesday, July 1, tease that a powerful encore is in store for fans. GH is throwing it back to November 7, 2014, which is when Michael Corinthos (Chad Duell) threatened to kill his own father! General Hospital spoilers say some exciting scenes are ahead in this classic, so here’s what viewers can look forward to.

For starters, Anna Devane (Finola Hughes) is forced to arrest Duke Lavery (Ian Buchanan), who lied for Sonny Corinthos (Maurice Benard). It’s hard for both of them, but Anna does what she has to do.

Over with Franco Baldwin (Roger Howarth), he’s on the pier contemplating the gun he’s holding. Franco ends up calling Nina Reeves (Michelle Stafford), who has kidnapped Ava Jerome’s (Maura West) baby and is in the middle of grilling Madeline Reeves (Donna Mills).

General Hospital Spoilers – Nina Reeves Chats With Franco Baldwin

Nina puts that grilling session on hold briefly so she can chat with Franco. She drops a hint about having someone new in her life that she’d like for Franco to meet. Franco and Nina both feel like they could use a pal, so they’re appreciative of this conversation.

Once Nina hangs up, she returns to ask the hard questions. Madeline ultimately confesses that she paid Ava to break up Nina and Silas Clay’s (Michael Easton) marriage. Even so, Madeline thinks it was just a way to show Nina that Silas wasn’t the right man for her.

Nina bickers with Madeline before discussing Ava’s stolen baby as if she were Nina’s own daughter with Silas. That’s obviously rather troubling to Madeline! Next, Nathan West (Ryan Paevey) can tell something’s bothering Dante Falconeri (Dominic Zamprogna). Dante mentions Sonny Corinthos’ (Maurice Benard) recorded confession, which led to a warrant for his arrest.

GH Spoilers – Nathan West Offers To Make The Arrest

Nathan offers to make that arrest for Dante, but Dante insists he already accepted there’d come a time when he’d have to arrest Sonny himself. After Nathan admits he may have to take Madeline into custody as well, Dante acknowledges their messed-up families. Nathan and Dante wrap up their discussion by wishing each other luck.

Once Dante picks up on the clues that Michael may have gone after Sonny, he pushes Morgan Corinthos (Bryan Craig) to tell him where Sonny went. Meanwhile, Sonny’s holding Ava at gunpoint, so she closes her eyes and assumes she’ll die for murdering Connie Falconeri (Kelly Sullivan). Ava’s surprised when bullets fired that doesn’t hit her. It’s Michael, who let a warning shot ring out behind Sonny.

Michael updates Sonny on the confession video that Franco played. He doesn’t think there’s any point in Sonny trying to deny what went down. After Ava pipes up that she watched Sonny shoot AJ Quartermaine (Sean Kanan), she pushes Michael to pull the trigger. Michael rants at Ava for being a disgusting person, but he admits his real issue is with Sonny.

Ava’s allowed to make her getaway as Michael continues to hold Sonny at gunpoint. Once Ava’s gone, Michael rages about all Sonny’s deception. He recalls accusing innocent Ava of killing AJ, but Sonny thinks Ava’s far from innocent. Michael learns that Ava killed Connie and gets even more riled up about AJ’s death.

Sonny talks about walking in on AJ, who was choking Ava. After AJ let Ava go, Sonny shot AJ before he could explain anything about Connie. Michael gets Sonny to admit he shot an innocent man who was unarmed. Sonny notes that he didn’t find out the real story until much later when a recording of Ava’s confession surfaced.

Michael thinks the timing only makes things worse and doesn’t feel like Sonny truly loves him. Michael argues that if that were the case, Sonny wouldn’t have shot AJ. Michael’s furious over being deprived of life with his real father and feels Sonny poisoned him against AJ along with Carly Corinthos (Laura Wright).

Once Michael makes Sonny drop his own weapon, Sonny wonders if Michael intends to kill him. Michael confirms that he promised to make AJ’s killer pay and intends to keep that promise. Back with Ava, she collapses near the pier. Silas and Kiki Jerome (Hayley Erin) come to Ava’s rescue before realizing she’s given birth. Ava gets emotional over Nina and Madeline kidnapping her baby girl.
