General Hospital Spoilers: Michael Must Choose: Willow, Or The Baby?

General Hospital spoilers reveal Michael Corinthos (Chad Duell) will be in dire straits in the coming days as he’s forced to make an unspeakable decision that could destroy the future he has planned for himself, Willow Tait (Katelyn MacMullen), and their children.

Willow went into surgery to deliver her baby girl knowing the plan was to use the baby’s stem cells from her umbilical cord to treat the cancer after more rounds of chemotherapy. But that plan is going to change when the doctors at GH discover Willow and Michael’s baby is going to need those stem cells herself.

Michael is on cloud nine over the birth of his daughter. The only thing missing is Willow, who still hasn’t woken up from the C-section that nearly stole her life even sooner than anyone expected. Her body is weak and she needs time to recover, but it may be best that she’s not all that present for what comes next.

While the first few days of Michael and Willow’s daughter’s life will be smooth sailing, her health is also going to take a turn for the worse — and it’ll leave Michael spinning out as he struggles to know what the right decision is.

GH Spoilers – Suggest Willow Tait Will Need Another Way Out Of This

With Willow needing the stem cells from the baby’s umbilical cord and placenta, and the baby now also needing similar therapy, Michael is going to be faced with a very difficult decision about who should benefit first. On one hand, Willow is much weaker and has been ill for longer, but the baby is younger, smaller, and could take a turn for the worse at any time.

Ultimately, Michael knows that WIllow would want him to save their daughter first, and that is what he will choose to do — letting go of the treatment option for Willow and knowing he will have to explain this to her. However, what Willow may approve of far less is the next move he makes.

General Hospital Spoilers — Would Willow Tait Approve?

When Willow comes to, Michael may be looking to take a pretty drastic step in getting their son, Wiley Corinthos (Viron Weaver), tested to see if he is a bone marrow match for Willow. She would probably never agree to this sort of intervention and would insist that even if Wiley was a match, she won’t accept it.

Michael is hoping he would be able to coax her into it, but ultimately he knows it’s Willow’s decision. She may not be willing to put Wiley in that position, nor would she ever want him to grow up with any guilt about her passing if his bone marrow donation did not work to save her life.
