General Hospital Spoilers: Michael To Attend The Five Families Meeting – Willow Worried He’s In Danger

General Hospital spoilers tease that Willow Tait (Katelyn MacMullen) will be concerned over Michael Corinthos’ (Chad Duell) plans to attend the Five Families meeting in an upcoming episode of General Hospital!

General Hospital Spoilers – Willow Tait Is Worried About Michael Corinthos Representing Mob Business

General Hospital viewers will recall that Michael had stepped up to represent his presumed-dead father Sonny Corinthos (Maurice Benard) and Jason Morgan (Steve Burton) in a meeting of the Five Families. The Five Families are mob families who might be interested in taking over Sonny’s mob territory if someone does not stop them, and that means someone has to be there to show he’s in charge of the territory. The Five Families are also referred to as representatives of the five mob territories, namely, The Triad, the Cosa Nostra, the Five Points Gang, the Russian Bratva, and the Northern Seafront, which is the Corinthos territory. The families represented in previous meetings have been the Wu family, the Novak family, the Buscema family, and the Petrov family.

Carly Corinthos (Laura Wright) attended in 2002 as the representative when Sonny was presumed dead that time but he told her what to say through an earpiece, and she didn’t say what he wanted her too. That caused a big argument when they got home, and Michael has also attended as the representative at least one time in the last ten years. Previous families represented were the Zaccharas and the Jeromes. Willow is worried about Michael stepping up for mob business, that it will bring danger.

He tries to calm her fears by explaining that he has done this before and the other families know and recognize him. That will make it much less dangerous because he feels that he has their respect. But what he doesn’t realize or expect is that Cyrus Renault (Jeff Kober) has likely contacted all the representatives ahead of the meeting to stir the pot against the Corinthos family and Michael!

General Hospital Spoilers – Willow Tait Thought Michael Corinthos Left The Mob Behind

Willow knows Michael’s past and thought he left the mob behind. Michael explains yes he is no longer involved in the mob parts of Sonny’s business but again, he has done this before. He does not have to be “all mobbed up” in order to represent Sonny’s interests at a Five Families meeting. It is simply conducted like a board meeting where they all talk and they all make sure their territories are safe and protected from interlopers and outsiders.

It is when someone like Cyrus comes into town that the Five Families are worried about their own territories and Sonny had been a stabilizing influence over Port Charles for many years. Michael explains that there cannot be a no-show and he and Jason talked about this meeting when he went to visit him before his arraignment when he was still in the Port Charles Police Department holding cells.

Neither Jason nor Michael trust that Carly will be a proper representative because she is too mouthy and she will be seen as disrespecting the other four families. Carly is simply too emotional right now to represent the Corinthos family in the meeting. Michael is the only one who can, and he must! It doesn’t make Willow feel much better but at least she understands what the meeting is and its purpose!
