General Hospital Spoilers: Michael Will Stop At Nothing To Save His Father From Valentin’s Plan to Destroy Him

General Hospital spoilers reveal that while it initially seemed like Valentin Cassadine (James Patrick Stuart) orchestrated the deal between Sonny Corinthos (Maurice Benard) and the Pikeman Group, the truth is far more complex. It may have actually been Michael Corinthos (Chad Duell) who reached out to Valentin with an ask: pull his father into an intricate web of federal criminal activity that he would never be able to weasel his way out of.

Valentin obliged, thinking all the while he would be doing Nina Reeves (Cynthia Watros) a favor in the long run by getting her away from Sonny’s dangerous world. But it was Michael who really wanted to see Sonny in ruins. It would’ve worked out perfectly if only Michael had stuck to that plan.

Dex Heller (Evan Hofer), unbeknownst to Sonny, had been gathering information on Michael’s behalf for months. All of it would have been used against Sonny to make sure he was locked up for life.

Instead, Michael has done a 180 and he’s working to make sure no one else can do the same thing to his father. Carly Spencer (Laura Wright) sure knows how to compel her son to do the allegedly right thing when she needs him to.

GH Spoilers – Hint Valentin Cassadine Disagrees

Just because Michael has changed his tune — and apparently his feelings for his father — doesn’t mean Valentin is going to follow his lead. He set out to see this plan through, and he plans on doing so — with or without Michael’s help.

Valentin could be in pretty deep with the Pikeman Group, too, and he’s not going to risk his own safety going up against a federal defense contractor because Michael went and developed feelings for his daddy again.

General Hospital Spoilers — What Lies Ahead for Sonny Corinthos?

Michael is going to have his work cut out for him, as is Dex — who has no idea Valentin was ever a part of this equation or that Pikeman was really in on it. Michael truly does want to keep the peace and get back on solid ground with his family — his whole family.

Willow Corinthos (Katelyn MacMullen) was right to demand that of him. But now he needs to backpedal his way out of a deal that all of the other interested parties are still adamant about carrying out.
