General Hospital Spoilers: Michael’s Plans For Sonny Become Clear!

General Hospital spoilers tease that Michael Corinthos (Chad Duell) wasn’t exaggerating when he revealed his plans to destroy his father, Sonny Corinthos (Maurice Bernard). Michael’s anger toward his father began shortly after Sonny came home to Nixon Falls.

As viewers know, Sonny fell off a bridge while pursuing Julian Jerome (William Devry). Sonny washed up in Nixon Falls but he had no memory of his identity. He lived a much different life while there, working for Phyllis Caulfield (Joyce Guy). He didn’t actively want to pursue his identity. But Nina Reeves (Cynthia Watros) also turned up in Nixon Falls and they slowly fell in love. But Nina didn’t tell Sonny that she knew who he really was!

Not only did Nina keep the truth from Sonny, but she didn’t let Sonny’s family know he was alive. So, they all mourned Sonny’s death for several months longer than they needed to. Michael in particular was upset that Sonny refused to punish Nina when he returned home. When Michael tried to have Nina arrested for fraud, he found out that Nina and Sonny had been romantically involved in Nixon Falls. But that is nothing compared to his anger when Sonny’s wife Carly Corinthos (Laura Wright) discovered Sonny and Nina in bed.

GH Spoilers – Michael Corinthos’ Anger Has Grown To Dangerous Levels!

Sonny’s made matters even worse when he testified on Nina’s behalf in her petition to be allowed to see her grandson and Michael’s son, Wiley Corinthos (Viron Weaver). That was the last straw for Michael, who not only cut Sonny out of his life but he aimed to destroy Sonny’s business. Michael says he is doing this to take back the Corinthos name so it won’t be associated with the mob when Wiley grows up.

But Michael is playing a very dangerous game. He has sent Dex (Evan Hofer) to infiltrate Sonny’s organization. Dex is slowly ingratiating himself with Sonny but Brando Corbin (Johnny Wactor) is already suspicious of Dex. And fellow mobster Selina Wu (Lydia Look) is likely to look into the sudden attack on Sonny’s legitimate business as well since it could also impact her. Dex or even Michael may meet with either Sonny or Lydia’s wrath.
