GH spoilers reveal that Mike (Max Gail) was diagnosed with Alzheimer’s disease. It was tough for the character, as well as his family. Sonny (Maurice Benard) tried to stay strong, but also showed a genuine vulnerability that reached through our television screens. Eventually, Mike would pass away from the condition, which happened in October 2020.

It would be the second death from Alzheimer’s on a soap this year. The Young and the Restless fans also mourned the exit of Dina Mergeron (Marla Adams) when the character died last month.

He is going through quite a bit and Mike’s passing wasn’t that long ago. So, he is also still going through the grieving process. In addition to those issues, Sam McCall (Kelly Monaco) could be walking away from Jason Morgan (Steve Burton), which would be upsetting for Sonny.
