General Hospital Spoilers: Monday, August 17 – Portrait Swap Brings Ava’s Fury – Liz Warns Nikolas Of Destruction – Necklace Answers for Jax

General Hospital (GH) spoilers for Monday, August 17, tease that Ava Cassadine’s (Maura West) portrait unveiling will bring even more awkward moments. Everyone seems perplexed and even a bit shaken by what was under that covering. It certainly doesn’t seem to be the portrait Franco Baldwin (Roger Howarth) painted – and Ava won’t be happy about the switch!

Ava will ultimately tell Franco that she intends to remedy the situation permanently. What exactly was unveiled and why will Ava be so upset about it? Could Kiki Jerome’s (Hayley Erin) portrait have been swapped in? That seems likely since there have been so many conversations about Kiki going on – and Nikolas Cassadine (Marcus Coloma) is trying to fuel Ava’s guilt.

Ava will likely assume this is Nikolas’ doing and she may be right. However, Elizabeth Baldwin (Rebecca Herbst) will still feel like Ava’s to blame for this whole mess of an evening. Liz will hurl accusations about self-sabotage at Ava, but she’ll have a warning for Nikolas as well. Elizabeth will feel like Ava’s going to destroy any good left in Nikolas if he’s not careful.

General Hospital Spoilers – Ava Jerome Was Right About Nicolas Cassadine

At the Metro Court, Carly Corinthos (Laura Wright) will meet up with Jasper “Jax” Jacks (Ingo Rademacher) and Nina Reeves (Cynthia Watros). Carly will make sure they all share some bubbly as they toast to everyone that made this possible. Naturally, Carly will likely be referring to Michael Corinthos’ (Chad Duell) custody victory.

Nina still feels a bit bad about throwing Nelle Benson Jerome (Chloe Lanier) under the bus, but Jax doesn’t think Nina has any reason to. As far as Jax is concerned, Nina needs to put Nelle behind her. Carly will certainly agree with Jax on that, but GH fans know a huge twist will is eventually going to be a game-changer.

Nelle is Nina’s biological daughter, so Jax may get a step closer to figuring that out soon. General Hospital spoilers say Jax will receive a call that’s quite significant. The jeweler Jax brought into this may get in touch with answers about the half-heart pendant – answers that could inch Jax closer to a shocking discovery.

Other General Hospital spoilers say Maxie Jones (Kirsten Storms) will get ready to drop a baby bomb, but something may change her mind. GH fans can expect Maxie to shift gears, so Peter may be left confused. Whatever the case, Maxie still has a big announcement coming up later in the week. We’ll just have to be patient on when Maxie finally divulges her secret bun in the oven.

Next, Valentin Cassadine (James Patrick Stuart) will tell someone there’s nothing he or she could’ve done to stop him. Maybe Lucy Coe (Lynn Herring) will still be cranky over her tiebreaker vote guilt.

Valentin might suggest that if it makes Lucy feel any better, he intended to gain control of ELQ with or without her help. Where there’s a will, there’s a way – and Valentin had both. He was going to make this happen no matter what.

General Hospital Spoilers – Everything Worked Out

Meanwhile, Harrison Chase (Josh Swickard) will tell Hamilton Finn (Michael Easton) that everything worked out the way it was supposed to. Perhaps Chase will wade in Finn and Anna Devane’s (Finola Hughes) latest invitation conflict. Finn doesn’t want to invite his father, Gregory Chase (James Read), to the wedding, but Anna thinks it’s the right thing to do.

Chase might back Anna up, but he could also suggest that he respects Finn’s wishes. Regardless, Chase will be glad Finn eventually opened his heart to his brother. They have a nice bond now, so that maybe what Chase feels worked out like it was supposed to.

As for how things turned out for Michael and Willow Corinthos (Katelyn MacMullen), Chase may argue that was for the best as well. Of course, Finn will know better if Chase tries to act like he’s not hurting. This has been a tough time for Chase – and it’s only going to get tougher.
