General Hospital Spoilers Monday, August 3: NEW Episode – Nelle Stunned as Nina Testifies – Cyrus Faces Laura’s Fury – Valentin’s Warning

General Hospital (GH) spoilers for Monday, August 3, tease that GH is back! That’s right. The encores are over – and now it’s time for the return of brand-new episodes. There’s a lot to cover in Monday’s exciting show, so here’s what you can expect.

First, Ned Quartermaine (Wally Kurth) loses his temper with Olivia Quartermaine (Lisa LoCicero). At the Quartermaine mansion, things get heated as they debate the hostile takeover attempt at ELQ. Ned will rant about the company being at risk, so he may not feel like Olivia’s taking the matter seriously enough. There’s a lot of the line, especially since the buck stops with Ned at the moment.

General Hospital Spoilers: Valentin Bribes Brook Lynn

Michael Corinthos (Chad Duell) stepped away from ELQ for a while to focus on Wiley Quartermaine-Corinthos (Erik and Theo Olson), so he’s trusting Ned to keep everything running smoothly. Ned won’t want a hostile takeover happening on his watch! It seems Ned will mostly be angry about the situation, but he’ll take some of that anger out on Olivia.

At the Metro Court, Brook Lynn Quartermaine (Amanda Setton) will get confirmation that Valentin indeed wants to gain control of ELQ. Valentin will admit he’s been hard at work, but Brook Lynn will think she can nip this in the bud. She’ll plan to spill the details of Valentin’s scheme right away, but Valentin will offer up a couple reasons why she shouldn’t.

Valentin will undoubtedly try to get in Brook Lynn’s head and make her believe ratting him out would be a bad idea. Nevertheless, it doesn’t look like Brook Lynn will listen. She’ll still be ready to divulge Valentin’s secret, so we’ll see if she goes through with it by the time Tuesday rolls around.

General Hospital Monday Spoilers: Nina Reeves Takes The Stand

Until then, there’ll be some tense moments in the courtroom. Now that Nina Reeves (Cynthia Watros) has sworn to tell the truth, Diane Miller (Carolyn Henessy) will hope to take advantage of that honesty. General Hospital spoilers say Diane will grill Nina and try to trip her up so that Nelle looks bad.

Nina’s goal here isn’t to rip Nelle to shreds or tank her case. In fact, part of Nina really wants Nelle to have a second chance. Even so, there’s another part of Nina that’s deeply concerned for Wiley. It’s that part of Nina that Diane may highlight.

After Nina starts to say something and then stops herself, Diane will wonder what she intended to share. Nina will suggest that Nelle confirmed her initial impression of her, but what does that mean exactly? Nina’s initial impression of Nelle was one of suspicion. She didn’t trust Nelle and still doesn’t if she’s being honest – and being honest is what Nina’s going for here.

Nina may admit that Nelle’s been an exemplary employee, but that doesn’t tell her or anyone else whether she’s capable of being a decent mother. It looks like Nina will remain composed and fair, so Jasper “Jax” Jacks (Ingo Rademacher) will be proud of her. Jax may think Nina did just what she should by concentrating on the facts.

As for Nelle, she’ll be stunned following Nina’s testimony. If Nelle’s own character witness can’t even voice her support, she’ll know her case has taken a huge hit. General Hospital spoilers say Nelle’s rage will start bubbling up, so expect some confrontations later in the week.

General Hospital Spoilers Next Week: Portia Has A Heart To Heart

In the meantime, Portia Robinson (Brook Kerr) will have an encounter that leaves her rattled. Cyrus Renault (Jeff Kober) will show up at GH, so he’s certainly an option here. However, Portia will eventually sit down for a calm yet potentially revealing conversation with someone – a blonde woman. That might be Josslyn Jacks (Eden McCoy) since she’s a close friend of Trina Robinson’s (Sydney Mikayla).

Portia will ask this person if she should be worried, so she might just be checking in with Joss and trying to get the real scoop on her daughter. Of course, it’d be a better idea to ask Cameron Webber (William Lipton) since he’s closer to Trina than anyone else right now.

Other General Hospital spoilers say Cyrus will face Laura Collins’ (Genie Francis) wrath. Laura will have some harsh words for Cyrus during a run-in a GH. Cyrus definitely has some secrets, so Laura will want to know at least one of them. She’ll demand to know what Cyrus’ real interest is in this hospital, but she may not get a straight answer.
