General Hospital Spoilers Monday, December 23: Special GH Christmas Episode – Hamilton Finn As Ebenezer Scrooge – Tracy Returns

General Hospital spoilers for Monday, December 23, tease that viewers are in for something special, as GH will air a special standalone episode for the Christmas holiday based on the Charles Dickens novel “A Christmas Carol.” Monica Quartermaine (Leslie Charleson) will read the story to the children at General Hospital, and it looks like the story will play out for viewers as she reads.

There will be scenes in the hospital, as Robert Scorpio (Tristan Rogers) tells Hamilton Finn (Michael Easton) that he’s a real scrooge, and as Liesl Obrecht (Kathleen Gati) notes to someone that Christmas is a time to put aside our differences and spread goodwill. It looks like there will be a good crowd gathered around as Monica starts the story for the children.

GH Spoilers – Tracy Quartermaine Returns

And there will be an unexpected guest, as Tracy Quartermaine (Jane Elliot) is shown in Monday’s General Hospital preview arriving at the hospital and greeting Anna Devane (Finola Hughes) and Finn with a big hug. As you may know, Tracy will be back on canvas for a short stint this holiday season, and we’ll see what kind of trouble she kicks up while she’s in Port Charles.

But the bulk of this special GH episode will center around the story of “A Christmas Carol.” As you may know, in the original “A Christmas Carol,” the character of Ebenezer Scrooge is an elderly miser with no Christmas spirit. He’s even cold to his overworked and underpaid clerk, Bob Cratchit.

Scrooge is then visited by the ghost of his former business partner Jacob Marley, who warns him that his miserly ways will lead him to eternal unrest unless he listens to the three spirits who will soon visit him. He’s then visited by the ghosts of Christmas Past, Christmas Present, and Christmas Yet To Come.

In this special episode, the character of Scrooge will be based on Finn, and the character of Bob Cratchit will be based on Franco Baldwin (Roger Howarth). The three spirits – the ghosts of Christmas Past, Christmas Present, and Christmas Yet To Come – will be based on the characters of Liesl, Ava Jerome (Maura West), and Josslyn Jacks (Eden McCoy).

GH Spoilers – Scrooge Takes An Emotional Journey

Each spirit will lead Scrooge on his journey of awakening. The GH previews for this special episode look fantastic and absolutely entertaining. For example, the spirit based on Liesl will bid Scrooge with a hearty hello, and Scrooge will scoff at some poor kids, one of which is based on the character of Violet Barnes (Jophielle Love).

And then there’s the spirit based on the character of Ava, who looks pretty scary. She’s likely the spirit of Christmas Yet To Come since during that part of the story Scrooge falls into an open grave dug just for him.

It will be fun to see General Hospital’s take on the classic Charles Dickens story, as Scrooge is transformed into a kinder, gentler man. It looks like GH viewers can expect Finn’s version of Scrooge to wake up on Christmas morning with a renewed outlook on life. It’s a great Christmas story, and will surely be a great General Hospital episode.
