General Hospital (GH) spoilers for Monday, October 17 indicate Carly Corinthos (Laura Wright) is in for a big surprise during her stay in Jacksonville. Back in Port Charles, Lucy Coe (Lynn Herring) is going to get frank with Anna Devane (Finola Hughes).

Victor Cassadine (Charles Shaugnessy) will offer his son, Valentin Cassadine (James Patrick Stuart) a proposal he will struggle to accept or refuse.

Meanwhile, Scott Baldwin (Kin Shriner) is back in town, and he’s chatting up Mac Scorpio (John J. York) and Felicia Scorpio (Kristina Wagner) about what happened since he’s been missing in action — most of it having to do with Cody Bell (Josh Kelly).

General Hospital Spoilers –  Monday, October 17, 2022: Carly Corinthos Receives News in Florida

Carly has been hunkering down in sunny Florida with her buddy Drew Cain (Cameron Mathison) for a few weeks now. What began as a pitstop she never intended on quickly turned into a romantic getaway with her blossoming beau-to-be — amidst all the legal drama, that is.

Carly has been relentless in her pursuit of the Jacksonville City Council’s help to stop the local Beautification Guild from building a parkway over the cemetery where her adoptive mom is buried.

Having just delivered some strong and pointed remarks to the Council about who she used to be — and about Peyton Honeycutt (Linda Purl) — Carly is going to receive news that comes as a big surprise. But what is it?

Carly could receive word that the Council has sided with her and her mother’s gravesite will stay intact. On the other hand, they may rule against her and side with the Guild, leading Carly to make regretful arrangements to relocate her mom’s remains.

But there may be something even more shocking in store for Carly — her mother’s return. Is Virginia Benson (Lois Nettleton) alive and preparing to re-enter Carly’s life, thereby negating the need to fight for protection of her gravesite at all?

Scott has been away from Port Charles for a few weeks, and a lot has changed since he was first smacked in the face with the news of Cody Bell’s return to town — and actually hit in the face by him.

GH Spoilers hint that Scott will sit down with Mac and Felicia, who will bring him up to speed with what’s been happening on the Cody front. How will Scott react when he hears Cody may be Mac’s long lost son? His hesitation to share what his face tells them he knows angers Mac and worries Felicia.

General Hospital Spoilers — Victor Cassadine Plays Hard Ball With Valentin Cassadine

Valentin has spent months trying to figure out the best way to get his daughter, Charlotte Cassadine (Amelie McLain) back from Victor’s clutches. Now that he’s closer than ever, Valentin has hope he will soon see his little girl again, but Victor has caught on to his act.

Aware Valentin has looped both Anna and Lucy into the mix, and that Lucy has been deceiving Victor, he’s intent to make them all pay — starting with his son.

When Anna expresses concern to Lucy and suggests she should back away from their plan, Lucy will insist she will see the plan through and will demand Anna stay out of her way.

When Victor makes an offer to Valentin, we can assume it won’t be one that leaves his son with a happy ending. Will he offer to return Charlotte, in trade for Lucy — or Valentin’s beloved Anna?

General Hospital Spoilers — October 17 — Britt Opens Up to Cody

As Britt jumps into the deep end and dares to take on the idea of dating Cody, will she share her deepest secrets with him? Can this pair make it past the insults and awkwardness to a level of intimacy she’s only recently shared with Jason Morgan (Steve Burton)?

It’s unlikely that Britt will tell Cody the truth about her Huntington’s connection at this juncture. However, she might be willing to share who she used to be, and details of her sordid past in an effort to relate to Cody running from his own.

She’s also going to put Cody on the spot about why he doesn’t want a DNA test to determine whether Mac Scorpio (John J. York) is his father.
