General Hospital Spoilers – Ned Quartemain’s Already Upset with Brook Lynn Quartermaine
As many GH fans know by now, Ned has been more than discouraged with Brook Lynn’s behavior of late. While Ned may be owning up to his own mistakes in hiring Brook Lynn to be his executive assistant (secretary) at ELQ recently, he’s still utterly frustrated with Brook Lynn’s apparent lack of maturity.
First, Brook Lynn refused to go out into the world to find a job like a normal person. Then, when she was given a chance (albeit at the bottom of the rung) as a hostess at the Metro Court, she got herself fired for being irresponsible and not showing up for her shifts. Then, when she was given another chance at ELQ, she proceeded to go shopping and dining out when she was supposed to be answering phones.
Finally, to top things off, she created the conditions for confidential merger documents to go viral on the internet. Of course, this blew the merger between ELQ and Marten MedTech all to hell. The cost to ELQ was in the millions of dollars.
Many GH fans find themselves empathizing with Ned’s anger and frustration at this point. They also agree with his ultimate decision to fire Brook Lynn from ELQ.
GH Spoilers – Brook Lynn Quartermaine Screws Her Family
While Brook Lynn has definitely harmed her family’s interests before, now that Ned has fired her she seems to have become set on revenge. Now, it’s worth noting that Brook Lynn feels that her “revenge” is really just proving that she has the talent she feels she has.
Really, it’s all about getting control of her music career and doing what she wants with her life. Some GH fans might even be able to identify with Brook Lynn’s motivations. Who, after all, wants to be confined to someone else’s idea of what his or her life should look like?
Everyone knows that Brook Lynn has a lot of talent as a singer. She even got a contract with a major music producer. However, when it came down to it, the terms of Brook Lynn’s five-year music contract were too much for her. Brook Lynn felt that her producer, Linc Brown (Dan Buran) was a lecherous man with few scruples. Apparently, Linc couldn’t keep his hands to himself, which led Brook Lynn to seek a way out of her contract at any cost.
GH fans may remember that Valentin gave Linc a call and instructed the music producer to let Brook Lynn out of her contract in return for her shares in ELQ. Up until now, Brook Lynn has refused. However, now she feels betrayed by her family … independence is of paramount importance to Brook Lynn. Now, Brook Lynn’s thoughtless actions may oust the Quartermaines from the leadership of their own company!
Unfortunately, for Brook Lynn, it seems that no matter what she does … on purpose or otherwise … her family pays a price.
