Dr. Neil Byrne Went On A Vacation By Himself For The Holidays
Once Neil knew that Alexis Davis (Nancy Lee Grahn) was going to be okay after he and Julian Jerome (William DeVry) found her in the road after Kendra Lennon (Michelle Argyris) tried to run her down, he left town for the holidays by himself. Not that Neil and Alexis were all that serious, but their relationship did seem to be progressing well. However, there was no clue as to where he was headed and General Hospital barely if at all addressed it in their scripts. But, now, after his somewhat mysterious trip, he is on his way back and should be appearing in Port Charles shortly.
Dr. Neil Byrne Will Have Shocking News
When Neil does return, he will have shocking news that will impact his and Alexis’ relationship! It would be a shock if he and his wife’s daughter, Joanna (uncast character) were to be discovered alive, but that wouldn’t impact his relationship other than finding out who switched a corpse for his still-living daughter when she was mourned and buried. This is highly unlikely since Helena Cassadine (Constance Towers) has passed away (we think) and she was the only one who had any technology for “raising the dead” or putting dying people in stasis to be revived later, as Stavros Cassadine (Robert Kelker-Kelly) had been.
However, it would be shocking news, especially to Alexis, if Neil were to bring back news that he and his ex-wife Deidre Byrne reconciled, especially if he brings her back to Port Charles with him! It would DEFINITELY impact their budding romantic relationship, in fact, it would end it permanently! Deidre Byrne would undoubtedly not appreciate her husband’s relationship with Alexis proceeding unless it was a friendship of a whole couple with a single lady, but it would be very, very, awkward! Neil undoubtedly cares for Alexis, but nothing they have done together has seemed on the surface to be any more than just a friendship.

However, Julian Jerome Is Single Again –
However, Julian Jerome is single again, and he had appeared to have moved on from Alexis when he became seriously involved with Kim Nero (Tamara Braun) who really burned him! As General Hospital viewers will recall, she ended any chance of herself and Julian staying in a romantic relationship when she cheated on him with “Frankendrew”, Drew Cain (Billy Miller) in Franco Baldwin’s (Roger Howarth) body prior to his memory transfer reversal procedure has been successful recently.
She left town when Julian refused to forgive her and put an end to even a friendship with her. However, he and Alexis never really completely left each other’s orbit and kept a watch on one another’s backs. This doesn’t mean that “Nelexis” will end and “Julexis” will revive, at least not right away, but the possibility may exist and this could be where the show is heading – or possibly a triangle with Julian, Alexis, and someone else!

So could Claudette be Neil’s daughter?
NO NO NO!! Neil & Alexis need to be able to explore their relationship a lot longer!! So far they seemed to make a great couple.
Julian is not good for Alexia anyway, even if there is a small spark there. Besides Julian’s plot for Brad, cutting the brake line, will be exposed real soon.
Hmmm, that’s a twist I bet no one else has thought of. Or if the age is right maybe she could be Nina’s long lost daughter. Head stretchers!!
I am disappointed that the writers keep Neil and Alexis apart – you can see that they both “like” each other – Neil was even willing to give up fighting for his practice and Alexis turned him down and then he walks out? I sure hope they aren’t writing Joe off GH – I think he and Alexis are adorable together and I would like to see where this will take both of them. Please give these two and chance and a story line!!!!
