Nelle doesn’t trust anyone in the Quartermaine or Corinthos families, so why not choose a doctor from any practice in Port Charles? Michael and Nell could then go together to get that second opinion.

If viewers balk at that idea, they ought to ask why a second opinion must come from a colleague of Monica Quartermaine (Leslie Charleson). Isn’t Michael’s frustration and Monica’s exasperation with Nelle simply coming from a place of pride? Really, if securing Nelle’s signature is all-important, then Michael needs to get off his high horse and understand that right now, Monica’s prestige is irrelevant!
