General Hospital Spoilers – Nelle Benson Overhears Juicy News

GH fans who have been paying attention over the last few weeks have seen Sasha Gilmore go to incredible lengths to manufacture a fake affair. Sasha’s entire purpose was to help her boyfriend, Michael win his child custody case for Wiley Cooper-Jones (Erik and Theo Olson). As part of her mad plot, Sasha had for months gone behind Michael’s back to meet with his best friend, Harrison Chase.

During her meetings with Chase, Sasha didn’t actually get down and dirty. Instead, she worked on Chase’s mind, convincing him that if he truly loved Willow Tait (Katelyn MacMullen) he would join her in a conspiracy to push Willow into Michael’s arms.

GH fans know that the result of Sasha’s weirdness was Willow walking in on Chase and Sasha sticking their tongues down each other’s throats on Chase’s couch. A tearful Willow beat a hasty retreat to the Metro Court bar after spilling the beans to a shocked Michael. At the Metro Court, Willow also told Nina Reeves (Cynthia Watros) about everything that had gone down … and Nelle stood off in the shadows listening to everything.

Some GH viewers might think it’s a crazy idea that Nelle would even consider going after Michael now that Sasha is no longer part of his life. However, fans ought to remember there was a time when Nelle and Michael shared a connection. While it seems clear that Michael believes Nelle is the devil, viewers have watched Nelle begin to express some things to Nina that many find hard to swallow. She’s talked about how she wants what’s best for Wiley. Nelle’s talked about how she wants to ensure that Wiley gets all the good things that were denied to her as a child. Nelle’s even talked about how badly she wants a normal, healthy co-parenting arrangement with Michael.

Now, some GH fans are wondering if it’s possible that Nelle might suggest that she and Michael get back together. After all, if they were to reconcile … Wiley would have his mother and father and they could all have the family they once began. Maybe the fact that Sasha is out of the picture is a sign that Fate, the Universe, God … is giving Michael and Nelle the opportunity to put things right. Maybe now Michael and Nelle have the chance to create a beautiful life … the way it should have been from the beginning.

The truth is, Michael isn’t likely to back down, back off, or even consider the idea of getting back together with Nelle. She’s behaved like a sociopath for far too long for Michael to even remotely begin to trust her. With that said, Nelle still might try. Everyone remembers that Nelle had zero chance with Valentin Cassadine (James Patrick Stuart) but that didn’t stop her from trying to seduce him did it?

The more likely scenario is that Nelle will use the fact that Sasha is no longer with Michael as an opportunity to hurt Michael. She could the facts she’s learned in court, or Nelle might simply remind Michael that he just got cheated on by his girlfriend and his best friend … and doesn’t that hurt? Twist knife. Twist.
