While at the Quartermaine mansion, Nelle was taken aback by the fact that her former lover, Harrison Chase (Josh Swickard) showed up in support of Michael.
At first, she accused Michael of trying to intimidate her by bringing in a police officer to watch her behavior while visiting Wiley. In fact, she made sure to mention that she had her attorney interfere due to what she perceived as a violation of terms on Michael’s part.
General Hospital Spoilers – Michael Corinthos and Harrison Chase Are Freinds
However, Michael and Chase both were swift to let Nelle know that there was nothing written against Michael’s ability to have friends over during Nelle’s visitation period. Moreover, Michael can prove that Chase has been his friend for some time. It’s all good. (And Chase seems to have relished rubbing that in Nelle’s face.)
While everyone knows that the sociopathic Nelle is out for Nelle alone, she put on a good show while playing with Wiley. She even managed to make Wiley feel like he was having fun! Sickeningly, the cunning Nelle pulled off a selfie that portrayed a picture of a loving relationship between a mother and her son. If one didn’t already know better, a person might assume that Nelle was actually a loving mother. In fact, GH fans might agree that due to Nelle’s superb performance, any outside viewer might assume that Michael and Nelle were going through the same type of tension-filled divorce others have gone through.
GH Spoilers – Nelle Benson Likes To Manipulate
Of course, GH viewers know such an assumption would be a mistake. Everyone knows by now that Nelle doesn’t truly care about the wellbeing of Wiley. Or, if Nelle cares about her son at all it is only insofar as she can use him to achieve her goals. Nelle is clearly a chameleon and has been able to manipulate not only her surroundings in expert fashion but also the people therein.
General Hospital Spoilers – Nelle Benson Confronts Carly Corinthos
GH fans may be wondering then, why did Nelle head straight for the Metro Court to confront Carly Corinthos (Laura Wright)? No one really believes Nelle is needy enough to desire Carly’s approval. So, why go to the trouble of traveling all the way over there just to pull out her selfie with Wiley and shove it in Carly’s face?
Could it be that Nelle is finally starting to feel a bit of pressure? Seeing Michael and Sasha and Chase all allied against her, could Nelle believe that Michael may have the upper hand in court? Could she feel that her chances of winning the custody battle over Wiley are falling?
If so, then her visit to Carly wasn’t about gaining Carly’s approval or validation. (No one would really buy that anyway.) No, this may have been Nelle trying to provoke Carly into a massive confrontation. The motivation for such provocation might have been to get Carly to engage in an assault. If Nelle could get Carly arrested, she could then show that even if Michael got married, his own mother is a violent woman.
While that still wouldn’t show how great and amazing Nelle’s own life is, and it wouldn’t confirm for a judge that Nelle would be able to provide a marvelous home free of strife, it would show that Michael’s family life isn’t picture perfect either.
GH viewers may agree that since family courts tend to favor the mother, and as long as Nelle is able to cast shade on Michael’s family in order to (in her estimation) even the playing field, she’s sitting pretty. Stay glued to CTS for more General Hospital updates and spoiler to find out!
