General Hospital Spoilers: Nelle’s New Leverage – Uses Willow’s Unstable Behavior In Custody Battle?

General Hospital: Katelyn MacMullen (Nelle Benson)General Hospital (GH) spoilers reveal that Willow Tait (Katelyn MacMullen) has had it with Nelle Benson’s (Chloe Lanier) mouth! It seems that GH viewers may soon see Willow become as ruthless as she admires Michael Corinthos (Chad Duell) to be, or even as devious as Nelle herself.

Although Willow admits to her boyfriend, Harrison Chase (Josh Swickard) that she is at a loss for words concerning the present situation, it’s obvious that Willow is becoming obsessed with stopping Nelle at all costs.

General Hospital Spoilers – Willow Tait Adores Wiley Cooper Jones

Due to her motherly instincts, the fact that she continues to adore Wiley Cooper-Jones (Erik and Theo Olson), and the fact that she has been a part of Wiley’s life for so long, GH fans may agree that Willow has a right to crazy on Nelle.

After all, let’s consider all the crimes Nelle has committed against Willow. First, she trespassed and barged into Willow and Chase’s apartment. Then she proceeded to assault Willow, beat her up, and left her knocked out on the floor. Finally, she proceeded to kidnap Wiley who was in Willow’s care at the time!

GH Spoilers – Willow Tait’s Feelings

Afterward, Willow felt incredibly guilty that she wasn’t able to stop Nelle or prevent her from taking the toddler. Although not immediately obvious at the time, it seems Willow has nursed a desire for pay-back and who can blame her?

However, while many fans may sympathize with Willow’s feelings, now may not be the best time for her to move against Nelle in an open fashion. Willow doesn’t seem to be thinking clearly, nor does she seem to be able to control her anger. More than once Nelle has mentioned restraining orders in confrontations with Carly Corinthos (Laura Wright) and Willow.

General Hospital Spoilers – Nelle Benson Can Be Very Manipulative

We also all know how manipulative Nelle can be. She is, after all, one of the darkest GH characters in recent times. Willow could be playing right into Nelle’s hands! If Nelle can provoke Willow and get her to make an assault, she could then use that to discredit any testimony Willow might offer in support of Michael’s bid for custody of Wiley.

Moreover, she could paint Willow as an unstable woman, mentally damaged by her own grief over the loss of a son. She could say that Willow is jealous of her because her son (Wiley) is alive, while Willow’s lies in a grave. She could say that Willow would do anything to reunite with Wiley, including doing whatever it took to separate Wiley from his “real” mother. Either way, just like the master manipulator that she is, Nelle could use Willow’s own emotions against her and turn her into a weapon to use against Michael in court.

The question fans ought to be asking themselves now is whether Willow will see through Nelle’s behavior. Will she wise up and play a strategic game rather than a foolish reactionary one, or could Willow’s actions end up destroying Michael’s chances in court for good?

Yes. Like it or not, she has a very good shot at custody. She is Wiley’s mother. Both Nelle and Michael are convicted felons, and the courts always favor the mother, when possible. Michael’s proximity to Sonny and the danger associated with him levels the playing field. Not in the rational mind, but in the eyes of the law. Willow running around acting out and harassing Nelle is not going to help his custody battle. Same with Carly! Besides, Willow has no legal ties to the child, and her overprotective act does come off as obsessive and unstable, as understandable as it may be. The character witnesses that Michael is likely to bring forth are all biased and most can be considered unreliable witnesses.
