General Hospital spoilers and updates indicate that some of our favorite couples in this fictional town of Port Charles, New York will be dealing with either enjoy the peace that they deserve or deal with another rocky episode until they can figure out their issues between them. Here’s what you need to know.

Speaking to Soap Opera Digest in its latest issue, co-head writers Chris Van Etten and Dan O’Connor both say that there is going to be a bit of reckoning between some of our favorite couples, which will result in their relationships changing in ways that no one would expect. The writers preview what’s ahead for on-again, off-again couple Jason Morgan (Steve Burton) and Sam McCall (Kelly Monaco), along with Peter August (Wes Ramsey) and Maxie Jones (Kirsten Storms).

As far as Jason and the Same are concerned, O’Connor says that they are experiencing something that they haven’t had in years – peace and stability. He puts it this way, “This supercouple is now figuring out what it takes to be together on a day to day basis again. Jason and Sam are going to learn new things about each other and find different ways to relate to each other.”

Unfortunately, the same can’t be said about Peter and Maxie as their relationship has come to a crossroads. General Hospital spoilers say that peter will get a very disconcerting call from beyond the grave that may lead him to make a tactical error. If that weren’t enough, Dante Falconeri’s (Dom Zamprogna) investigation into Peter will have big ramifications for Port Charles and Peter will do his best to manage many facets of the situation that he’s been brought to in.
