General Hospital Spoilers: Nicholas Chavez’s Exit, Here’s What We Know

General Hospital (GH) spoilers note there’s a ton of speculations surrounding Nicholas Chavez’s (Spencer Cassadine) status with the soap. While he exited storylines on January 31 of this year, fans were under the impression that he would be back at some point, to wrap up his contract with the daytime drama. 

After all, it was confirmed that the young actor would start filming the Netflix series, Monsters: The Lyle and Erik Menendez Story, as Nicholas is playing the role of Lyle Menendez.

Viewers were under the impression that he’d be gone for approximately three months – after his Monster movie duties finished up. Still, an unusual chain of events has some fans wondering if Nicholas or Spencer will end up returning to Port Charles, anytime soon.

General Hospital Spoilers – First Came Social Media …

It’s important to note that neither the soap nor Chavez has announced an official exit.

In late March, X/Twitter was buzzing as fans noticed that Nicholas removed all GH-related images from his profile. He also unfollowed all GH cast members, except for Executive Producer, Frank Valentini.

This had fans in a frenzy and seemingly hinted at the fact that Nicholas may not return to the daytime drama.

Still, many people reasoned that keeping Valentini on his X/Twitter was huge, especially since the actor now only follows Frank, Netflix, and Ryan Murphy Productions.

However, the last shoe dropped recently, which has fans believing now more than ever that a Spencer Cassadine return is likely not in the books.

GH Spoilers – Cast Calling Credits

More recently, fans noticed that Chavez’s name was removed from the credits following the show’s closing every day.

Nicholas’s name remained on the credits following his last scene on January 31st, and it just recently was dropped. It seems pretty clear that he may have been able to negotiate a way out of the remaining time on his GH contract.

Unfortunately, this means no Spring reunion any time soon; however, Spencer could always be recast if Nicholas does not return to the role.
