It happens after Esme Prince (Avery Kristen Pohl) learns of Nikolas’ divorce but together plan. When Nikolas is blackmailed, he has an unexpected reaction. Although desperate to keep his secret, he’s also attracted to Esme’s manipulative ways.

Of course, Esme doesn’t do anything unless it will serve to her advantage at some point. Ryan Chamberlain (Jon Lindstrom) demanded that Esme expose Nikolas’ betrayal right away. Right now, Esme has a huge problem and that is Kevin Collins’ (Jon Lindstrom) drastic decision. Despite Esme claiming her interest in Ryan is simply because he’s a fascinating case, people are beginning to think it’s more of an obsession or even an attraction. Right now, nobody knows that Esme and Ryan are father and daughter.

Esme fumed when Ryan took away her Spring Ridge internship. Then, Esme discovered that she was also banned from seeing Ryan. This is a huge problem for Esme, but she comes up with a solution.

General Hospital spoilers reveal that Esme finds out that Nikolas and Ava are getting a divorce. This was not what Esme expected to happen right now, especially since nobody knows about the cheating. When Esme pushes Nikolas for answers, he says they are divorcing but still staying together.

Esme uses this to solve her internship and Ryan problem. Esme tells Nikolas to reinstate her internship at Spring Ridge. If Nikolas refuses, then Esme will blurt out all the details of their steamy love session.

“In the Cassadine world, manipulation and blackmail are kind of their stock-in-trade. He’s aware that she’s blackmailing him, but it’s familiar to him… I don’t think he even necessarily looks at it as a bad thing because so many loved ones have used this tactic.”

As for how Nikolas views Esme after the blackmail,

“He recognizes that she’s a snake and recognizes that she’s dangerous – but he’s somebody who actually likes snakes!”
