General Hospital Spoilers: Nik’s Sacrifice, Victor Reels Over Murder Confession

General Hospital: Nikolas Cassadine (Marcus General Hospital spoilers and updates tease in this week’s Soap Opera Digest that Nikolas Cassadine (Marcus Coloma) will make a supreme sacrifice. He will falsely confess that he murdered Esmé Prince (Avery Kristen Pohl) to Victor Cassadine (Charles Shaughnessy) in order to protect Ava Cassadine (Maura West).

General Hospital Spoilers – Ava Cassadine Could Be A Murder Suspect

Previous General Hospital episodes revealed that Ava could be a murder suspect should Esmé have not survived her fall from the parapet of Wyndemere Castle. Nikolas dove into the waters below and searched the shoreline thoroughly, after Ava told him, truthfully, that she and Esmé had struggled over an envelope and Esmé had fallen. Ava had not pushed her over, yet she somehow propelled over the wall and fell backwards, screaming as she went over.

Nikolas had rushed over to the castle having been called by the Wyndemere staff, who heard the showdown and he arrived just after Esmé had gone over. He warned Ava at the time that because of the well-publicized animosity between the two that if Esmé turned up dead, she would be suspect number one.

GH Spoilers – Nikolas Cassadine Could Be Charged As An Accessory

General Hospital spoilers show Nikolas knows that if Esmé turned up dead, by protecting Ava he could be charged as an accessory after the fact, but he doesn’t care. So far all he found was one of Esmé’s shoes, so chances are she will surface as a floater somewhere unless she’s fish food by that time. But, both he and Ava know that a fall into waters from that height can be survivable; both he and Ava survived similar situations. Someone could have found her clinging to life and rescued her and be nursing her back to health, even though she didn’t show up at GH. Or, perhaps she didn’t and her body has not surfaced yet or she washed up unconscious or dead in a remote location; all Nikolas cares about is protecting Ava.

General Hospital Spoilers – Victor Cassadine Wants To Find Esmé Prince

Victor wants to help Spencer Cassadine, (Nicholas Chavez) who is presently facing a prison stint in Pentonville Prison and wants to find Esmé. This, of course makes for a very awkward situation for Nikolas and Ava, considering she may not even be alive. Nikolas told Victor that Esmé “left town” so Victor wants to put his resources into finding her, so Nikolas is faced with a tough decision.

Nikolas knows that Victor could do several things to help – find and dispose of Esmé, dead or alive, create a false trail to throw investigators off the track. But he’s not sure whether to trust his duplicitous great-uncle or not, and debates whether to come clean.

GH Spoilers – Nikolas Cassadine’s Sacrifice

Nikolas falls on his sword and confesses, falsely, to Victor that he murdered Esmé, in order to protect Ava. Nikolas knows by doing so that he puts both himself and Ava at Victor’s mercy and that could be worse than the possible legal consequences. Victor could still cover up anything if he chose, but he knows that if Victor found it necessary, he could use what he knows as leverage for himself. But Nikolas would rather do prison time or worse, himself, than to see Ava railroaded into a murder rap should Esmé’s body turn up.
