General Hospital Spoilers suggest Nina Reeves (Cynthia Watros) is no less furious with Michael Corinthos (Chad Duell), despite having at it and chewing him out in his own living room just moments before Willow Tait (Katelyn MacMullen) entered to tell her off.
Nina was livid when she showed up at Michael and Willow’s place ready to lie to him about Willow’s delayed treatment protocol. Nina’s number one concern is her grandson, Wiley Corinthos (Viron Weaver), and what would become of him if he were to lose a second mother now.
General Hospital Spoilers — Wiley Corinthos’s Future Is At Risk
Nina has been patient and forced herself to understand the judge’s ruling. She has no contact with her only grandchild, and it breaks her heart more every day that she, Michael, and Willow haven’t been able to see eye to eye enough to let Wiley enjoy the fruits of having a maternal grandmother.
All this time, Nina has been treated as a pariah whose presence wasn’t welcomed in the slightest. She was cast aside and out of Wiley’s life just like Nelle Benson Jerome (Chloe Lanier) was.
So it came as a striking blow to Nina when she discovered that Willow has a terminal illness she might not be able to beat. Furthermore, Willow delayed seeking treatment so that she wouldn’t put their future daughter at risk.
Nina is stunned that Michael and Willow didn’t think of Wiley’s needs before those of their unborn child’s and believes they were neglectful in delaying chemotherapy. That being said, she has no idea that was Willow’s choice alone, and that Michael knew nothing of it.
GH Spoilers – Reveal Nina Reeves Is Grief-Stricken In A Way She Can’t Explain
On some level, Nina is grieving right now, and it’s not just for Wiley and the potential loss of the only mother he’s ever known. There is indeed a fine line between love and hate, and Nina and Willow’s relationship exemplifies it well. Nina knows her feelings toward Willow are not nearly as bitter as those Willow returns back to her.
On a cellular level, it seems as though Willow resents Nina, and that may be because Nina has pushed for Wiley to know who Nelle was, which could feel like a threat to Willow. However, something deeper is lurking beneath the surface — and Nina might be the first to show signs of serious concern for Willow that extend beyond those Michael even has for her. Is this maternal instinct kicking in, unbeknownst to everyone involved?
General Hospital Spoilers — Michael Corinthos Isn’t Off The Hook
Willow’s sudden collapse might have put the kibosh on the impending feud between Michael and Nina, but it’s not over. As they await news at GH over Willow’s condition, Nina is going to be brewing with anger toward Michael. She just got done telling Sonny how selfish Michael was.
As soon as she realized Willow delayed treatment, she immediately jumped to the conclusion that Michael made her do it, without any thought as to how he might strongarm a woman like Willow into going against her own wishes. Nonetheless, Sonny told her immediately that the family infighting needed to stop.
Instead of listening to that, she marched herself straight to the Quartermaine gatehouse to let Michael have it. Where will that leave them now? As Willow’s condition continues to deteriorate, Nina will take it out on Michael ever chance she gets while he keeps his lips zipped about Willow’s unilateral decision to avoid chemotherapy until the second trimester.
