General Hospital Spoilers: Nina Dangles Carly’s Relationship With Drew In Front Of Sonny — And It Backfires

General Hospital spoilers reveals Nina Reeves (Cynthia Watros) keeps trying to drum up enough excitement to keep Sonny Corinthos (Maurice Benard) interested in her, but it seems it always comes in the form of drama, and that said drama always revolves around someone else who takes the attention away from Nina more than anything else.

If she doesn’t do something soon to jumpstart their relationship and bring it back to life, it may coast into retirement just in time for Sonny to grow preoccupied with someone else — his ex-wife most likely.

Nina is recognizing that she and Sonny don’t actually have as much in common as she thought, and she’s not sure their relationship will withstand Carly Spencer (Laura Wright) getting coupled up with someone else and driving Sonny mad with jealousy.

So, she’s hoping to test his limits now to gauge whether or not she should keep pursuing their romance.

General Hospital Spoilers — Nina Reeves And Sonny Corinthos Are Ho-Hum

Nina has a flair for the dramatic, and the longer she and Sonny are together, the more she realizes he doesn’t. Was all that chemistry in Nixon Falls merely a byproduct of their pent-up passion being restricted and their whole romance being a secret that existed in a vacuum — or rather, in a bubble?

Things were exciting when they came back to Port Charles and jumped into bed together, but Nina is starting to recognize that she enjoys their relationship far less when there is no angst, tension, or constant reassurance from Sonny that he is choosing her over Carly. How much of this relationship is really about Nina loving Sonny — versus Nina wanting to stick it to Carly?

GH Spoilers – Indicate Carly Spencer And Drew Pique Sonny Corinthos’s Interest

As Sonny grows more interested in what Carly is up to with Drew Cain (Cameron Mathison), it’s going to leave Nina feeling like she was left out in the cold. Just as quickly as Sonny leapt out of his seat while they were having dinner so he could speak to Brick (Stephen A. Smith) about his secret meeting with Carly, Sonny could abruptly vacate this relationship anytime when he decides he can’t take it anymore seeing Carly with another man. Will he leave Nina the same way — as an afterthought that happens only once he’s re-solidified his relationship with Carly?

General Hospital Spoilers — Testing The Waters

Since Nina can’t stop worrying that she’s going to lose Sonny to Carly, she’s thinking now might be a good time to test that theory. Sonny probably isn’t going to be bothered by Carly dating anyone more than he is by her dating someone he knows and has been close friends with. He’s going to have to see Drew and Carly together on occasion once their relationship is safely out in the open, and Nina is worried that could lead to humiliation for her if Sonny can’t keep his jealousy under wraps.

So she plans to feel Sonny out before he can embarrass her again the way he did by leaving her at the table as he went to grill Brick. As ready as she thinks she is to find out how Sonny will feel when he thinks he’s lost Carly for good, it’s going to leave Nina feeling gutted to see his response to such news as she dangles Carly’s allegedly hot and heavy relationship in his face.
