While it looked like they were an interesting match back in Pennsylvania, it seems like the appeal of Nina and Sonny may have just been the undercurrent of secrets their love story was enveloped in. As a couple, they’re honestly a tad bit boring and lacking chemistry, fans say. That makes now the perfect time to spice things up with a little insecurity on Nina’s part.

General Hospital Spoilers — Ava Jerome And Nikolas Cassadine Are On the Outs

Ava Jerome Cassadine (Maura West) was recently released from GH after she was attacked by The Hook. Knowing she did not want to head back to Wyndemere after her husband, Nikolas Cassadine (Marcus Coloma) cheated on her there with Esme Prince (Avery Kristen Pohl), Nina offered Ava a place of respite at her condo.

Ava isn’t just Nina’s friend; she’s mother to Sonny’s daughter, Avery Corinthos (Grace Scarola). For that reason, no matter how much Ava has done to Sonny and the people he loves, Ava will always garner his attention and concern. He will want to keep her safe for Avery’s benefit. But when Sonny’s attention is focused more on Ava than Nina, his girlfriend is going to have a big problem with it.

GH Spoilers – Tease Sonny Corintos And Nina Reeves Have Grown Comfortable

This pair had a lot of fire in their bellies for each other when Sonny didn’t even know who he was, and Nina had all the control, but both of those lives are lost to them now. Nina hasn’t actually had a great impact on Sonny’s life, and on some level he knows that. With Carly Corinthos (Laura Wright) and Michael Corinthos (Chad Duell) out of Sonny’s orbit lately, Nina hasn’t had to share Sonny’s attention or affection with anyone. As Ava becomes a greater concern for Sonny, Nina isn’t going to take kindly to playing second fiddle to her new roommate.

General Hospital Spoilers — Sonny Corinthos’s Instincts Prevail

The thing about Sonny is, he’s always looking out for the people in his circle. Gladys Corbin (Bonnie Burroughs) used to annoy and anger Sonny on a regular basis, but she’s family and as such, she’s protected. Ava is no different. She may have done terrible things to Sonny’s family, and Sonny will never forget how she changed Morgan Corinthos’ (Bryan Craig) medication for his bipolar disorder, ultimately leading to his erratic behavior that helped claim his life. But like it or not, Ava is the mother of Sonny’s child, and he’s going to look out for her. Nina will have to suck it up, and if she doesn’t, we know Sonny will show her the door.
