General Hospital Spoilers: Nina Heartbroken, Jax Ends Things When She Testifies For Nelle?

ABC General Hospital spoilers and updates revealed that Jasper “Jax” Jacks (Ingo Rademacher) could reconsider the nature of his relationship with Nina Reeves (Cynthia Watros) in the near future. That’s because GH fans know that Jax has severe reservations about Nina taking the side of a known sociopath and criminal, Nelle Benson (Chloe Lanier).

GH viewers know that Jax is a man who sees things in black and white. For Jax, things are either right or wrong with not much room for grey. This immediately sets Jax apart from Nina Reeves’ former husband, Valentin Cassadine (James Patrick Stuart) for whom everything is morally murky. That’s why Jax was taken aback recently when it appeared that Nina was actually considering the things Nelle had told her. In fact, Jax wasn’t just taken aback, he was mortified.

GH viewers watched Jax try to explain away Nina’s behavior … to her face. Of course, Nina didn’t really believe Nelle’s lies. Of course, Nina was just playing along with Nelle, milking her for more information. And, when Nina protested that, no … she really thought Nelle might have some valid points, Jax quickly tried to rationalize Nina’s behavior.

Nina was projecting her own feelings of loss and ache for a child onto Nelle’s situation and person. Surely Nina couldn’t really identify with a known murderer and mentally unstable sociopath, could she? Of course not …

Everybody knows this was simply a knee-jerk reaction on Jax’s part. It was Jax’s attempt to keep things morally okay in his own mind so that he could justify remaining in a relationship with Nina.

GH Updates – Nina Reeves Dashes Jasper “Jax” Jacks’ Hopes

Jax may not be able to justify remaining in a relationship with Nina if it becomes clear that she will support Nelle Benson no matter what. Jax is a good guy (more or less). Many believe that Jax won’t stay in a relationship in which he believes his partner is blatantly a supporter of evil.

Of course, GH viewers know that this is likely to be the case. Nelle Benson asked Nina to be a character witness in her child custody case against Michael Corinthos (Chad Duell) and everyone watched recently as Nina took the stand. Now, as to whether she will indeed support Nelle remains to be seen, but based on her previous statements and her rabid defense of Nelle to both Jax and Carly Corinthos (Laura Wright) it seems a likely bet that she hasn’t changed her mind.

General Hospital Spoilers – Jasper “Jax” Jacks Walks Away

Some GH fans might be saddened if Jax does decide to ditch his relationship with Nina. As a couple, Jax and Nina seemed like they might have some promise. On the other hand, Jax made clear several times that he wasn’t making a super rush of anything. Jax wasn’t ready to walk down the aisle any time soon and Nina should consider their relationship … just … fun. At least, that’s how Jax made things sound, and as everyone knows, Nina definitely seemed down for “fun.”

However, if Jax actually was developing stronger feelings for Nina then seeing her support Nelle might be the knife that cuts the cord of their romantic connection. Some GH viewers feel that might be too bad … but then, it could also be an excuse for Nina to get back together with Valentin!
