General hospital spoilers tease Carly Spencer (Laura Wright) never could have imagined she would be harboring such a deep secret about Willow Tait’s (Katelyn MacMullen) life. When Harmony Miller (Inga Cadranel) was dying, Carly sat by her bedside to offer her comfort and solace.
Never did she think Harmony would tell her Nina Reeves (Cynthia Watros) was Willow’s birth mother — and that Willow was Nelle Benson Jerome’s (Chloe Lanier) twin sister! Carly chose to let Harmony take that secret to her grave and sought to do the same herself. Now that Willow wants to know where she came from, Carly has been playing God — and it just might blow up in her face. Let’s dig into the ways that might happen.
General Hospital Spoilers — Willow is Sick and Carly Confesses
Willow has only just revealed to Drew Cain (Cameron Mathison) that she has Stage IV Leukemia. Even Michael Corinthos (Chad Duell) has only known the truth for a few weeks. As Willow tackles the massive job of enduring chemotherapy during her second trimester of pregnancy, she has displayed some next level exhaustion that Drew recognized as similar to his son Oscar Nero Quartermaine’s (Garren Stitt) final days.
Willow begged Drew not to tell anyone she is sick — especially Carly and Olivia Quartermaine (Lisa LoCicero) – because she doesn’t want everyone making a big deal about it and having Wiley Corinthos (Viron Weaver) reacting to their behavior. But rumor has it Drew is going to slip up and won’t be able to pull the wool over Carly’s eyes. As she realizes the real reason Willow is so serious about finding her birth parents, the gravity of what she has done will instantly set in and Carly will know she has to come clean.
GH Spoilers Hint Carly Can Help Willow Without Revealing the Truth
When Carly finds out Willow is sick, she might start to believe she can help her get the bone marrow transplant she needs from Nina without telling her that she and Nina are related. When Carly makes a plea to everyone who knows Willow to get tested, Nina won’t be exempt. While she is going to run the risk of the hospital or doctors mentioning that their bone marrow match is consistent with them being relatives, she thinks that might go over everyone’s heads — especially because Nina is the last person Willow would ever want for a mother.
However, should they put two and two together and figure it out, Carly wouldn’t be able to pretend she never knew, and Drew will most certainly be shocked and know Carly lied to him and tried to reroute his investigation toward a dead end.
General Hospital Spoilers — Carly Holds Out and Her Plans Backfire
Of course, there is another option. Carly might decide she’s in this too deep to say a word. She will be wracked with guilt, but she will leave the truth off the table and let the secret about Willow and Nina die with Harmony — and possibly Willow, too. Obviously, the truth is going to come out another way when Willow is at death’s door, and Michael just might never forgive his mother.
