General Hospital Spoilers: Nina Longs For Something To Bind Her To Sonny, A Baby!

General Hospital Spoilers reveal Nina Reeves (Cynthia Watros) might not be cut out for loving a mob man with such a large number of notches on his bedpost. Sonny Corinthos (Maurice Benard) isn’t a typical match for Nina, whose preferences in men shifted after she was betrayed by Valentin Cassadine (James Patrick Stuart) — a man who is much more of a casanova than Sonny will ever be.

Nina can’t seem to shake off the worry that Sonny will abandon her at some point or possibly isn’t as interested in her as she is in him, despite all of the constant reassurance he gives her.

In the coming weeks ahead, Nina will find herself thinking back on her own past relationships a bit, and she just might come to see that her biggest trauma of all — having her chance at motherhood stolen from her — is still impacting her in a tremendous way.

General Hospital Spoilers — This Isn’t Just About Sonny Corinthos’s Children

Recently, Nina spent a playful day with Donna Corinthos (Scarlett Brielle) while Sonny was busy at the office. Sure, the nanny was there as well, but Nina and Donna scored from quality time that left her feeling somewhat unnerved about her place in Sonny’s life. Once again, he had to calm her nerves and remind her that he was all in on their relationship.

Still, Nina worried that any attachment to his daughter on her part might just be her own trauma and the loss of ever really knowing her daughter, Nelle Benson Jerome (Chloe Lanier), creeping in and seeking pacification. Nina doesn’t want to use Sonny’s daughters that way, so she plans to keep her distance a bit from the kids.

As Nina lends some thought to why she’s feeling so insecure in her relationship with Sonny, she may come to realize it has much to do with the strong bonds he has with the other women that he’s loved — mostly because they are the mothers of his children. Sonny sees these women as extended family that he chooses to take care of. She longs for the same connection to him and believes she can only attain equal standing with Olivia Quartermaine (Lisa LoCicero), Carly Spencer (Laura Wright), and Ava Jerome Cassadine (Maura West) if she too shares a child with Sonny.

General Hospital Spoilers — Nina Reeves Wants A Baby!

Is Nina going to have any luck convincing Sonny to care for yet another late-in-life baby? He wasn’t terribly keen on Carly’s surprise pregnancy with Donna in the first place. However, his concern had more to do with any risks imposed by Carly’s age rather than adding to their family. Will Sonny embrace the idea of adoption with Nina? The right plot twist could also reveal Nina is Willow Tait’s (Katelyn MacMullen) birth mother.

If Willow doesn’t survive her battle with leukemia, Nina just might snap and fight Michael Corinthos (Chad Duell) for custody of both the new baby and Wiley Corinthos (Viron Weaver) as a means of holding onto her daughters — and Sonny! She might have a chance at being granted such in the wake of Willow’s death, too, if Michael continues down this path of revenge he’s on that is certain to blow up in his face.
