General Hospital Spoilers: Nina Reeves Gets A Hit On Her Missing Child, But Will She Hit Paydirt?

ABC General Hospital spoilers tease that in Port Charles, NY Nina Reeves (Cynthia Watros) will get a hit on her missing child, but will she hit paydirt?

General Hospital Spoilers – Nina Has Been Looking, She Has Sent Curtis Ashford Looking, Jasper Jacks Has Been Looking

General Hospital viewers will recall that once Nina and Jasper Jacks (Ingo Rademacher) got that lead about a nurse named Phyllis Caulfield (uncast) from a jeweler in New York, she was off and running again to try and find her long-lost child. Jax started looking, she got Curtis Ashford (Donnell Turner) looking again, and once Valentin Cassadine (James Patrick Stuart) heard she was looking he gave Jax a warning! He told Jax he’d better make sure there was a child to find before he got Nina’s hopes up!

He knew how badly she wanted to track down her child, and when the trail ran cold he wound up hiring Sasha Gilmore (Sofia Mattsson) to play her daughter. Nina and Sasha got closer than many real mothers and daughters before the secret came out, ending Valentin and Nina’s relationship forever, and Nina and Sasha’s for over a year, although she has reached out to her recently with motherly vibes, trying to help her with her drug addiction.

Valentin didn’t want Nina to have her hopes up again, only to have them dashed. General Hospital viewers will also recall that the late – or is she? Nelle Benson Jerome (Chloe Lanier) was revealed as Nina’s daughter. Valentin may have even discovered that and hidden the fact – why else would he have tried to help Nelle escape the country with Wiley Corinthos (Erik and Theodore Olson)?

GH Spoilers – Will The Trail Run Cold Again When Phyllis Caulfield Cannot Be Found?

Before leaving for Astoria, Oregon with his wife, Police Commissioner Jordan Ashford (Briana Nicole Henry) told Nina that he thought he could find Phyllis Caulfield. Nina had tried unsuccessfully herself, trying to wade through a whole lot of women with that name! Curtis probably still has his case files from when Valentin sent him on a wild goose chase to Sasha, but he had done intel work on his own that showed Madeline Reeves (Donna Mills) had worked with a baby broker, who unfortunately has since likely died – he was suffering from terminal cancer when Curtis interviewed him in prison.

If Nelle really was or is Nina’s daughter, there is a possibility that this broker and Frank Benson (most recently played by James Patrick Stuart) may have been acquainted. It never has been revealed where Frank and Virginia Benson (originally Lois Nettleton, played most recently by Cynthia Watros) adopted Carly Corinthos (Laura Wright) from, although they lived in Jacksonville, Florida and Bobbie Spencer (Jacklyn Zeman) also lived in Jacksonville where her aunt Ruby Anderson (Norma Connolly) lived and ran a brothel.

The broker could have also been in Jacksonville at the time. After all, Bobbie became pregnant with Carly during the time she worked as a prostitute so the adoption was probably black market. The clue Nina is given may either be that Phyllis Caulfield has died, or Carly has finally remembered what she has been struggling mentally with – that Nelle had a matching necklace to Nina’s! Either of those scenarios would live Nina heartbroken!
