General Hospital Spoilers: Nina’s New Year’s Confession Won’t Destroy Her Marriage — But How Will Sonny Explain Himself To Michael?

General Hospital spoilers report Nina Reeves Corinthos (Cynthia Watros) is going to confess all of her sins on New Year’s Eve, but not to Cyrus Renault (Jeff Kober). She’s already done that.

As Nina grows more aware of just how many people know her secret and could blow the lid off of her life with Sonny Corinthos (Maurice Benard), she will decide she’s done being a coward. If she’s going to lose Sonny, let it be on her own terms after she has come clean and preserved a shred of integrity.

Perhaps not so surprisingly, it seems like Sonny Corinthos (Maurice Benard) might take her confession on the chin. If Nina plays her cards right — and plays Sonny right — she just might hang onto her husband, even if their marriage isn’t the same bliss it was before. Ignorance is overrated, right?

However, if Sonny stands by her, he’s going to have a new fight on his hands with the rest of his family — again.

General Hospital Spoilers — Nina Reeves Wins Again

When Sonny first came back from Nixon Falls, he did the right thing by giving his marriage to Carly Spencer (Laura Wright) his all, even though he’d already fallen in love with Nina. But he also hid the truth about his life while he was away out of interest in protecting Nina from his family.

When that truth bomb exploded, his family was left in shambles, and he was rightfully to blame as much as Nina was. Still, he stood by Nina and defended her actions — going as far as asking for his family’s support of their relationship.

He and Michael Corinthos (Chad Duell) almost weren’t able to bounce back from that hardship, but they have. Now, when Sonny defends Nina yet again against Michael, it may become a permanent line in the sand.

GH Spoilers – Leak Michael Corinthos Will Be Furious

Michael isn’t just going to be upset that his dad is siding with Nina — he’s going to be furious that he’s siding with her over him.

Of course, Nina is going to tell Sonny the truth about Michael trying to blackmail her, giving herself an advantage over Michael from the get-go.

Sonny will fall for it hook, line, and sinker, and Michael will find himself wondering why he ever gave his dad another chance.

Why did he call things off with Dex Heller (Evan Hofer) when he could’ve put the guy away, and will there be room to reinstate that plan after his dad reignites his fury?

General Hospital Spoilers — Willow Tait Won’t Understand

Willow is going to be stuck between a rock and a hard place. She’ll be upset with her birth mom, but at the same time, she won’t want to lose the relationship that they’ve spent months building.

She has learned to love Nina, and she can’t imagine her life without her now — especially given that she’s the only mother she has left now.

If Willow is more willing to give Nina another shot — just like Sonny has — it could leave her own marriage to Michael in the lurch.
