General Hospital Spoilers – Obrecht Gets Out of Port Charles
Now, as everyone who has been watching a while knows, Anna Devane (Finola Hughes) arrested Obrecht on trumped-up charges. Viewers know that Obrecht loudly protested her innocence and that she placed all the blame squarely on the shoulders of Peter August (Wes Ramsey). Not that this did Obrecht any good. No one believed her, and Obrecht found herself dressed in the clothes of an inmate in short order.
Of course, GH fans know that Obrecht was telling the truth. She was framed by Peter August though heaven knows whether she will be able to bring the truth out, and even if she can when she will actually be vindicated. Regardless, with the truth still buried, Robert Scorpio (Tristan Rogers) informed Obrecht that she would indeed be getting a get out of jail card … but only so that she could be transferred to Europe, where she would actually stand trial for the crimes of which she was accused.
General Hospital Spoilers – Obrecht Testifies Against Nelle
Supposing a miracle were to occur and Diane Miller (Carolyn Hennesy) was able to secure Obrecht’s release from her cell in Europe long enough for her to testify at Michael and Nelle’s child custody hearing. What could GH viewers expect?
Well, for starters, like Brad, Obrecht could blow Nelle’s story out of the water. Viewers may recall that Obrecht was the one who actually delivered Wiley Cooper-Jones (Erik and Theo Olson) when Nelle gave birth on the side of the road! Up until now, Obrecht has kept Nelle’s secret (she even threatened Brad at one point over it) because she’s been afraid of what Sonny Corinthos (Maurice Benard) might do if he found out. However, Obrecht has little to fear from Sonny now that she faces life in prison.
Fans may agree that Obrecht may believe that her life is ruined anyway, so why not just let the truth come out? She could have some satisfaction in sticking it to Nelle.
General Hospital Spoilers – Obrecht Won’t Testify
The truth is, it just doesn’t make sense to drag Obrecht out of whatever legal proceedings she is having to go through in Europe in order for her to testify against Nelle at Wiley’s hearing. It’s a child custody case after all, and Obrecht is facing serious charges of murder and attempted murder all the way across the Atlantic Ocean. Imagine the cost of flying her back to Port Charles with all the security arrangements that would have to be made, etc.
Diane wouldn’t be able to justify the expense. No, Obrecht will likely remain at The Hague. At this point, GH fans might agree that if Diane is going to pull a rabbit out of her hat, an ace from up her sleeve, it makes much more sense to bring Brad into the picture.
Diane Miller may get Dr. Obrechet to appear to testify against Nelle but it will be very interested to see who the court will believe Lisel or Nelle. Nelle may think that she will win the custody battle when she leave the courtroom to pick up Wiley that Wiley won’t be in the Quartermaine Mansion. I hope that I am wrong but I truly believe that Julian will hire someone to keep Wiley out of danger. He will make Nelle look like she is going crazy. He will act like that he is a loyal husband.
I think that there is a chance if Nina finds out that Nelle is her daughter before the custody battle is over that Liesl would not testify for Michael. Liesl would want Nina to be happy and even though Nelle is more than likely her daughter she would keep the secret for Nina. I believe that at some time the situation with Liesl will get better. I have to wonder what she will think when she finds out that Nelle is Nina’s daughter and that she delivered Nina’s grandson.
