Liesl could resort to drastic measures when it comes to pushing Nathan West (Ryan Paevey) and Maxie Jones (Kirsten Storms) back together, so let’s consider a couple of romantic blowups that may be brewing.
GH fans know Obrecht was really rooting for Maxie to reunite with Nathan following her coma awakening. Liesl predicted true love would find its way and basically shoved Damian Spinelli (Bradford Anderson) toward the exit door!
Obrecht was hoping Maxie and Nathan could pick up where they left off, but so much has changed for Maxie in the seven years that he’s been gone.
Maxie ultimately had to let Nathan go since she’s building a new life with Spinelli and wants to hold onto it.
Now that Maxie has chosen Spinelli, Liesl is sure to throw a fit. There’s no chance Obrecht’s just going to accept the news that Maxie pushed Nathan away in favor of her current life partner.
Liesl is the kind of woman who isn’t afraid to get her hands dirty to get what she wants. Obrecht is also the kind of meddling mother who’s willing to take control of the situation when it comes to her kids.

With all that in mind, Liesl seems poised to play matchmaker despite Maxie’s decision. As far as Obrecht’s concerned, Maxie may just need a little help remembering her spark with Nathan and recapturing what they’ve lost.
Likewise, Obrecht may want to get through to Nathan and convince him to fight for Maxie, but there could be a big problem standing in the way. Since Nathan now has feelings for Lulu Spencer (Alexa Havins Bruening), Liesl may have another reason to lash out.
Once Obrecht finds out about Lulu and Nathan potentially pursuing a romantic future, that’ll give her even more motivation to intervene. You can bet Liesl won’t like the idea of Lulu becoming her daughter-in-law one day.
Obrecht is a talented schemer when she’s willing to dip into her bag of tricks. This may be one of those times, so Nathan’s connection with Lulu could be derailed if Liesl has her way.
Plus, Obrecht may set the goal of blowing up Maxie’s relationship with Spinelli and sending her back into Nathan’s arms instead.

It seems likely Liesl will do everything in her power to make sure Nathan and Maxie end up together, but will her plan actually work?
Maxie and Nathan both seem ready to move on at this point, but things could change depending on where the story goes from here.
Regardless, Obrecht will bring some shockers and shakeups in the coming episodes. It seems Liesl may even turn to Britt Westbourne (Kelly Thiebaud) for help, but Britt may have more important matters to take care of.
