Over the years Stamos has been very open about his time on GH. “Without ‘General Hospital’ I’d still be flipping burgers at my dad’s burger joint,” Stamos said on Twitter yesterday. “I am eternally grateful to ‘GH’ and all the folks I learned so much from on that show.”
His tweet was no doubt from the heart and he also used it to promote a very special show airing tonight, May 19 at 9:00 p.m. The ABC primetime special is “The Story of Soaps,” a two-hour look at the daytime drama genre.

Back in 2013 GH was celebrating its 50th-anniversary when Stamos appeared on “The Jeff Probst Show.” The handsome and talented actor said he’d definitely be interested in reprising his role in the series, saying “Why don’t we pull Blackie out of jail and he has to reacclimate to life. He’s never been with a girl! I would like to go on and do some acting.” If that ever happened it would be like manna from heaven for soap fans!
