General Hospital Spoilers: Peter Is Alive – And Someone In Port Charles Already Knows It?!

General Hospital spoilers say Peter August (Wes Ramsey) is alive and well, and somebody already knows it but has been keeping it secret for years. Who that might be isn’t a hard guess.

The last time that Peter was playing games with the many minds of Port Charles, Valentin Cassadine (James Patrick Stuart) was helping him do it.

This time around, Valentin might have learned his lesson about being more strategic with his alliances, but he keeps a pretty good pulse on the comings and goings in the underbelly of his home city. I would expect that he would keep tabs on Peter, apparently even postmortem.

Recall that Felicia Scorpio (Kristina Wagner) went at the guy with a tire iron and took him out. Somehow, that apparently didn’t stick.

Given Nathan West (Ryan Paevey) and Britt Westbourne (Kelly Thiebaud) recently coming back from the grave, it’s not all that hard to believe. Will Valentin help him — or hang him out to dry?

An Eye for an Eye

Valentin is nothing if not strategic. He is always looking out for number one. He won’t shoot himself in the foot just to blow the whistle on someone.

After all, there may be some point in the future when he can leverage what he knows about that person to get what he wants in some other direction. That’s how Cassadine’s think.

So if Peter is alive, and Valentin knows it, you can bet that he’s counting on cashing it in for something at some point.

Carly Hasn’t Connected the Dots

Carly obviously isn’t grilling Valentin for every connection he has that she may not approve of. Rather, she’s relying on him to keep her apprised of whatever is necessary for her to know, and trusting that they’re in this plan to take down Jack Brennan (Chris McKenna) together.

It’s never crossed her mind that he has other spinning plates moving about the city that could blow back on them.

Should that happen the closer that she creeps into the catacombs on Spoon Island, will Valentin throw her to the wolves, or come to her rescue?

A Crisis of Conscience?

Valentin may still have a strange soft spot for Peter. Remember, he’s the one who gave Peter to Cesar Faison (Anders Hoves), and he forever regretted that decision — especially when it came to Anna Devane’s (Finola Hughes) complicated role in Peter’s life.

If those old demons are still haunting Valentin, he might struggle to decide where his loyalties lie. At the same time, he’s building quite a rapport with Carly, and some would say there is chemistry in the mix.
