General Hospital Spoilers – Brook Lynn Was Seriously Injured And Nearly Died
Viewers will recall that Brook Lynn nearly died from blood loss and Nelle probably barely missed her jugular vein with those dress shears! She had lost a great deal of blood by the time Dustin Phillips (Mark Lawson) and Lulu Spencer (Emme Rylan) found her on the floor of the dressing room backstage in the Metro Court, where the Nurses’ Ball was held, as well as the telethon, with another room set up as a call center.
She had discovered Nelle hiding in the room when she went to prepare for her performance, which of course didn’t happen, and had it out with her over having heard her on the phone talking about kidnapping Wiley Corinthos (Eric and Theodore Olson)!
Brook Lynn was determined to stop Nelle from running off with Wiley, and had told her the police were on the way and then she tried to call Michael Corinthos (Chad Duell) but Nelle knocked the phone out of her hand, after which she mentioned the Port Charles Police Department Chief of Detectives, Mac Scorpio (John J. York) was also on-site and after some more arguing and accusations, Nelle had asked Brook Lynn to cover for her and pretend she hadn’t seen her.
She refused, and as she was going to turn around and leave, Nelle cut her throat with the scissors! The cut was deep enough that while Nelle didn’t get her jugular, which would have immediately killed her, she did do major damage to Brook Lynn’s vocal cords!
GH Spoilers – Once In The Hospital, Brook Lynn Was Warned Not To Speak
Once in the hospital, post-surgery and in her hospital room, Brook Lynn was warned not to speak, because any use of her vocal cords could damage the repairs the surgeon had performed, and her voice loss could be permanent, or at least greatly diminished. But she spoke out, risking her voice, in an effort to help the search for the missing Wiley, who had by this time been known to be kidnapped.
Nelle was the prime suspect, but after writing some things down for Sonny Corinthos (Maurice Benard) that she remembered, later Michael came to pay her a visit. Brook Lynn remembered that she had heard Nelle talking on the phone about there being a tracker in Wiley’s toy kangaroo, Mr. Hopsicle, that was paired to an app on Nelle’s cell phone. She told Michael, struggling to make her voice work, about the tracker and the app on the phone.
Now, the big question is, did Brook Lynn damage her vocal cords to the point of no return of her voice when she heroically told Michael just the information that he needed to find Nelle, and rescue Wiley? Will Portia have good news, or will her news be devastating to the young girl whose whole life revolves around her singing career and her music?
