General Hospital Spoilers – Rena Sofer Returns To Port Charles

2023 has been quite the year for Rena Sofer. The soap actress returned to General Hospital. She reprised her role of Lois after more than 25 years.

According to a report via The Associated Press, Sofer returned for a limited role in October. She also spoke out about her return to the soap.

“My husband and I are planning a move to the East Coast and you know, I just thought, when I moved here, one of my first big jobs was ‘General Hospital,’ and it just felt very full circle for one of my last jobs in Los Angeles while I live here to be ‘General Hospital’ and doing this character that I love so much,” Sofer said. “I played Lois for just under three years and I still have people walking up to me saying, ‘Lois is my favorite.’ I’m proud of who she is. I’m proud to have played her. I just love Lois.'”

According to the General Hospital spoilers, Sofer noted that returning to the set of the show where she made her start was “really weird.”

While everything felt familiar, other things still felt new to her. One actor who felt familiar to Sofer was Wally Kurth, who plays Ned in the series.

GH Spoilers – Status Of Rena Sofer’s Contract

GH fans want to know more about Rena Sofer’s current status with the show. The user justduckey posted on the SoapCentral.com Message Boards: “Is Rena Sofer on a long-term contract? Is she sticking around? I’m surprised Lois is still around. Does anyone know how long Rena Sofer is sticking around for?”

Fans flocked to the thread to react. Many of them would like to see Lois become a long-term character once again.

One fan wrote: “I don’t know, but I hope she stays! Have always loved Lois! Super unique and interesting character!” Another user added: “I’m enjoying her, hope she sticks around for a bit!”

According to the General Hospital spoilers, Lois has always been a fan favorite. The soap would be crazy to get rid of her. Sofer is still on contract, but it’s not a long-term contract.

She agreed to film 30 episodes, which is essentially six months. Sofer previously shared that she wasn’t sticking around long-term. Her goal is to still move to the East Coast.
