General Hospital Spoilers: Ric Faces Grim Fate as Sonny’s Warning Signals Danger Ahead

General Hospital (GH) spoilers reveal that many fans are growing concerned about Ric Lansing (Rick Hearst) and what the future holds for his character.

The show’s really turned things around for Ric in recent months, but is that because the writers have a grim goal in mind?

After all that time Ric spent being held captive in Alexis Davis’ (Nancy Lee Grahn) basement, he had a bit of an epiphany. Ric has been trying to focus on what’s important and stay on a better path when it comes to his personal relationships.

The new-and-improved Ric has been working out for him so far. Ric was able to lock in a romantic reunion with Elizabeth Baldwin (Rebecca Hearst), so he’s definitely been enjoying their latest chapter together.

Ric’s relationship with Molly Lansing-Davis (Kristen Vaganos) is also on solid ground, so that’s another reason for him to be content.

Of course, Ric’s biggest improvement lately is all the progress he’s made in his sibling bond with Sonny Corinthos (Maurice Benard). Now that Ric works for Sonny, it’s given him opportunities to prove himself and grow closer to him.

In GH’s April 10 episode, Sonny spoke to Ric about making sure his family was protected and said that included Ric. Ric tried to laugh it off like he was an expendable family member, but Sonny made it clear that he cared about his brother’s safety.

Sonny’s “I don’t want to lose you” line was rather unsettling since we know Jenz Sidwell (Carlo Rota) is stuck in revenge mode. Was that a dialogue hint about Sonny facing a situation where he could indeed lose Ric?

No one can rule out the idea of Ric getting caught in the crossfire and potentially paying with his life. Even if Ric doesn’t actually face a fatal outcome, he could come awfully close to his own demise.

Ric may continue to step up for Sonny and might be willing to sacrifice himself for his brother depending on how it all goes down.

Nobody’s safe when Sidwell is feeling this vengeful, so that’s something to remember as this storyline moves along.

Whatever the case, Ric is finally living his best life and establishing some happy personal relationships. The show could be setting Ric up for a huge fall if some grisly news is on the way.
