General Hospital spoilers report Molly Lansing Davis (Kristen Vaganos) isn’t happy with her father right now. His decision to represent Ava Jerome (Maura West) could have been the strategic decision he floated to Molly, or he might be completely blowing smoke in his daughter’s direction just to appease her.
Ric Lansing (Rick Hearst) seems like he wants to be a better man than he’s been all of these years, and he hates seeing any shred of desire for vengeance in his own daughter.
However, Molly just can’t make peace without this form of justice she’s seeking. Will Ric be able to get over his own yearning to prove to Molly that Irene’s death was an accident? Will he breach his own new moral code to give Molly what she wants even though he knows the ultimate price she will probably pay for it?
General Hospital Spoilers — Molly Lansing-Davis Is Furious
Molly is rather ticked that her dad is choosing to represent Ava when she feels so certain that it’s her fault her child is gone.
Ric didn’t mince words when he told his daughter he disagreed with her. But is that the truth, or is it all for show? Ric has done a good job over the years masking his true intentions when it suits him.
His real agenda always comes out later after he has reached his goal — or at least attempted to. In this case, he may not be too shaken by Molly’s fury with him if he knows he’s actually representing Ava just to please his daughter in the end by botching the case.
GH Spoilers – Tease Ric Lansing Wants Better For His Daughter
Ric’s diatribe about wanting his daughter to have a healthier mindset than he has for most of his life could have been authentic.
He may truly want that for her, but we need some more time with this guy to figure out whether he has truly turned over a new leaf.
When he first arrived back in Port Charles, it didn’t seem like he was any more inclined to welcome his half-brother — Sonny Corinthos (Maurice Benard) — into the room, and he balked at the idea of helping Ava right off the bat. But maybe old habits die hard and Ric really is trying to be a better human being.
General Hospital Spoilers — Can Father And Daughter Make It Through This?
Regardless of whether Ric is authentic or not, his pursuit of justice for Ava won’t feel like a pursuit of justice for baby Irene to Molly. It’s not likely that she will be able to see through the anger and rage she feels toward Ava, and she may very well now apply that same anger toward her father.
But if Ric makes some critical errors in Ava’s case that only a trained attorney like Molly would notice, will she pick up on what her dad is trying to do in throwing the case so that she can have the form of justice she wants — even if it’s not genuine?
Will Molly compromise herself that way, and allow her dad to do the same? If so, she may never come back from it. Stay tuned for more GH news and spoilers just ahead.
