General Hospital spoilers tease that Alexis Davis (Nancy Lee Grahn) is ending this week in a much better place than she started. As the week began, Alexis was in prison awaiting trial for the murder of FBI Agent John Cates (Adam Harrington). The prosecution really only had circumstantial evidence. Their case rested mostly on the fact that Ric Lansing (Rick Hearst) and Elizabeth Webber (Rebecca Herbst) witnessed Alexis throwing a gun into the river.

General Hospital Spoilers – Authorities Believe Alexis Davis Threw The Murder Weapon In The River
The cops believed that the gun Alexis dumped into the murky water was the murder weapon. Alexis didn’t kill Cates, but when she found the gun, she believed that Kristina Corinthos-Davis (Kate Mansi) may have.
Kristina later informed her mother that she wasn’t the killer either. That means that the gun Alexis dumped in the water was not the murder weapon. If that gun could be retrieved, then Alexis would be off the hook.
GH Spoilers – PCPD Had A Bomb Scare
Last week, the PCPD had to be evacuated when a mysterious package was discovered on the premises. At first, it was believed to be a gun, but the bomb squad later confirmed that it wasn’t an explosive device.

When Police Commissioner Anna Devane (Finola Hughes) opened the package, it was revealed to be the missing weapon. Once it was confirmed that it was most likely the same gun Alexis of, she was set free and the charges against her were dropped.
General Hospital Spoilers – Did Ric Lansing Deliver The Gun To The Cops?
It’s unclear who found the gun and therefore saved Alexis. When Ric was called in to identify the weapon, he hesitated before confirming it looked exactly like the gun, he witnessed Alexis disposing of.
That may have been all an act because Ric later hinted that he might have been the person who sent the anonymous package to the cops. It seems unlikely that Ric would go out of his way for Alexis, but anything is possible. She is the mother of his child after all.
