General Hospital (GH) spoilers indicate that the mystery around how Sam McCall’s storyline exit might finally be solved. It seems as if the soap has laid the foundation around how the character might be killed, off the cusp of the announcement that both Sam and Kelly Monaco are leaving the show this fall.
During the Wednesday, September 18 episode, Sam (who’s temporarily being played by Lindsay Hartley) came up with a plan that would finally “save” her mom from the sticky situation she’s in. However, fans can’t help but think it’ll be one more tragedy that could pull the Davis girls further apart.
General Hospital Spoilers – Alexis Davis’ Pentonville Stint Has Rocked The Davis Family
GH spoilers note that during Wednesday’s episode, Alexis Davis (Nancy Lee Grahn) was refused bail during her hearing.
She’s been charged with the shooting of FBI agent John “Jagger” Cates (Adam J. Harrington), and with the agency bringing in their big guns and a no-nonsense lawyer, the attorney insisted that Alexis was a flight risk due to her history.
Sam, Molly Lansing-Davis (Kristen Vaganos), and Kristina Corinthos-Davis (Kate Mansi) were devastated when the judge ordered their mom to Pentonville to await her trial.
Of course, all three girls know that their mom didn’t do it – and all three “know” that Sonny Corinthos (Maurice Benard) is behind the shooting.
The fact of the matter is, the gun Alexis threw over the bridge was not used in John Cates’ shooting, and during Wednesday’s show, Sam came up with a dire plan and shared it with Dante Falconeri (Dominic Zamprogna). As she’s an expert diver, she could go into the river and find the gun herself, clear Alexis, and move forward with healing her family.
Although Dante didn’t like the idea, as the river is “choppy”, Sam insisted she could do it. Her boyfriend knew all too well that he wouldn’t be able to talk her out of it, so he relented.
GH Spoilers – The Aftermath Of Sam McCall’s Death
This entire scenario screams “drowning and presumed death”. As fans know Sam is on her way out, the soap might be setting things up for the character’s exit.
Plus, the aftermath of Sam risking her life to find the gun to clear her mom’s name would cause heartache, devastation, pain, and plenty of drama.
Alexis would crumble. She’s landed in jail to protect one daughter and risked the life of her other. Meanwhile, Kristina would be an emotional mess, as her actions of taking her dad’s gun landed her mom in this mess in the first place.
This could also cause a further wedge between Kristina and Molly, as Molly would blame her sister for not only landing her mom in jail but causing the death of her other sister.
Then there’s Sonny. He’s the one who shot John Cates and didn’t come forward – so Molly would have a field day of blame for her uncle. Would Dante point the finger of blame toward his dad, too?
Will this river dive mission for Sonny’s gun be Sam’s storyline exit? Share your thoughts in the comment section. Watch the ABC soap daily to follow all the drama and visit this site for all the best General Hospital spoilers, news, and updates.
This can’t be correct. How is Lulu going to get her liver if she is “presumed” dead? I think it more likely that she finds the gun and goes racing to the police and has a bad car accident that leaves her brain dead. So they make the horrific decision, as she is an organ donor, to take her off life support. I just wonder who else is in the car accident.
Maybe I missed something? When was it decided that Sam would be the donor to save Lulu? I haven’t watched Friday’s episode yet (from 9/20) so perhaps something was revealed then?
[…] Sam has been concerned for months now about Danny’s more reckless side and his tendency to take after his father, Jason Morgan (Steve Burton). […]
[…] Wright talked about how Carly has been there for Jason Quartermaine (Steve Burton) from the beginning, how she accepted him when the rest of his family just simply wanted him to return to being himself. […]
Two situations could ccur from Sam’s dive is that she as with Spencer’s dive into the ocean she could be missing and not deceased. The other to find the gun and prove the gun Alexis disposed of is not the gun that shot Cates. As TPTB seem to want to remove the character from canvas as this time, it would be a better solution than just killing her off and leave an opening for the character to return at a later date. Just my thoughts.
[…] Taking Sonny down has been a goal for Ric as long as he can remember, and he just may be willing to take the risk of losing his daughter, Molly Lansing Davis (Kristen Vaganos), in the process. His last meeting with her at the Metro Court left him in a better position with her than he was before though. […]
Sam should have gone with Jason to get Lucky not Ichabod. Sam dying during the rescue is much more fitting than drowning or on the operating room table during the transplant. They can’t even bother to give KM a decent exit story… How pathetic after all these years…
Sucks she’s leaving!
Lulu can get her transplant from a living donor. Sam has probably been tested and isn’t a match. Otherwise the transplant would have already happened or at least be scheduled.
GH does not care that we the fans do not want this depressing death of a legacy heroine Sam McCall! We do not want it! Killing off Sam makes no sense! Her drowning makes no sense! Alexis in jail and then getting drunk again makes no sense! Sonny Killing Cates makes no sense! I m just depressed about this show. So much so that I can’t even be happy about Lucas being recast, and The new LuLu. It’s sad. I guess I’ll tune in to the Gayes new soap opera and be done with this writers Train wreck of a soap opera! By the way Jason and Anna almost sleeping together was disgusting! He dated her daughter Robin.. these writers are off the chain. At least Holly got her diamonds! Lol.
