General Hospital Spoilers: Robert And Diane’s Truce Won’t Last As Cyrus Calls The Whole Thing Off

General Hospital spoilers reveal Robert Scorpio (Tristan Rogers) and Diane Miller (Tristan Rogers) have agreed to keep their personal feelings about one another’s work out of their relationship. But is it going to be that easy? Arguing over Sonny Corinthos (Maurice Benard) is in their nature. They’re seemingly on two very different sides of the law. Robert prosecutes criminals, and Diane defends them.

For the time being, Robert might think he’s comfortable with tabling the discussion about Sonny until the truth comes out in court, but will he feel the same way when his case against the mafia master falls apart?

General Hospital Spoilers — Their Day In Court

One might think this case should be about Sonny, but it will be clear that Diane and Robert are both eager to reach this day in court so they can hopefully lay down the new law in their relationship with one another.

Diane imagines that if she wins this case, she can demand that Robert stop presuming Sonny is guilty when he’s not been convicted of a crime.

On the other hand, Robert thinks he has a slam dunk case that will finally put Sonny away — and then Diane will have to concede, even if she cares about the guy. Boy is he wrong.

GH Spoilers – Hint Nina Made A Deal

When Nina Reeves Corinthos (Cynthia Watros) found out Sonny was charged with beating Cyrus Renault (Jeff Kober) within inches of his life, she knew that her best shot at warming back up to Sonny was to help him get the charges cleared.

Fixing the situation so that Cyrus agreed to get the charges dropped in exchange for some publicity on Nina’s end was the least that she could do.

However, Robert and Diane still have no idea that Cyrus is about to become the most uncooperative of witnesses.

General Hospital Spoilers — Cyrus Backpedals

Cyrus can’t just call up the District Attorney and ask him not to prosecute a crime that Robert knows has occurred.

Besides, Cyrus already gave his testimony. But he still has to stick to that testimony in the courtroom, and that’s where everything is going to start to come apart.

With Robert left stunned and burned in a courtroom as his girlfriend escorts her client out — smiles on both of their faces — it just may shift the direction of their relationship for good.
